The wheels of justice are finally turning for Corey "Cornbread" Lepard after his indictment for capital murder was served on him last month. The Face of Many Tattoos stands accused of killing an elderly man for his motorcycle and bragging about it in 2022.
JPD arrested Lepard on August 19, 2022 and charged him with the murder of 71 year-old Herbert McComb. It alleged Lepard repeatedly stabbed the victim in the head in McComb's garage in his Raymond Road home. A neighbor discovered his body in the garage on May 26, 2022 and noticed McComb's Kawasaki motorcycle was missing as well.
JPD said a repair shop reported the stolen motorcycle and claimed Lepard said he had to kill a man for it. JPD arrested Lepard. Jackson Municipal Court Judge Taurean Buchanan denied him bond.
A Hinds County grand jury indicted Lepard on December 16, 2022 for capital murder. The indictment charges
on or about the 20th day of August, 2022, in the county aforesaid and within the jurisdiction of thi Court, the said defendant, being a male human being, did willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously, with or without any design to effect the death of Herbe1t McComb, a male human being, kill Herbert McComb while engaged in the commission of the felony crime of Aimed Robbery in violation of Section 97-3-79 of the Mississippi Code Annotated, or in an attempt to commit such a felony
The indictment was not served upon Lepard until April 11, 2025, nearly three years later since Lepard has been serving time in prison.
Lepard is a graduate of the Hinds County Criminal Justice System's Catch & Release program. A Hinds County grand jury indicted Lepard in 2017 for aggravated assault after he split a man's head open with a piece of wood in 2016. Lepard pleaded guilty in 2019. Circuit Judge Adrienne Wooten sentenced him to serve ten years in prison but suspended five years of the sentence. She placed him on probation for five years as well.
The firebug garnered indictments for arson in 2019. Circuit Judge Winston Kidd kidded around and sentenced him to serve ten years in prison but suspended five years of the sentence on August 31, 2020. Earlier post on catch & release.
MDOC gave Lepard credit for time served and released him. Thus he was free to kill and kill he allegedly did. Judge Kidd revoked the suspended five-year sentence after he was charged with murder. A small consolation to the loved ones of Herbert McCombs.

Three words for this waste of flesh: Captive. Bolt. Pistol.
The Hinds County prosecutorial/ judicial system is an embarrassment. But what do you expect with its makeup?
in nature, poisonous creatures give us warning colors and patterns. The human version is face and beck tattoos. I quite honestly do not trust the critical thinking skills of anyone with tattoos. However, face and neck tattoos are specifically a red flag for me.
Simple Jack haircut. Going back to jail ma ma ma makes his eyes rain.
Society will be so much better off without this human garbage among us.
I want these Judges held accountable. Its their fault this person wasn't in prison.
With that title, I was hoping the ZeroPolyBear was back. Best wishes Mr. Bear! You are missed.
.357 should work.
So, what makes anyone think he's going to stay in jail for any length of time, this time?
What a waste! Six-foot-one; blue eyes; abundant straight blond hair, with no apparent male pattern baldness in his future; tiny, tucked-back, lobeless ears... Despite that crippling middle name (which would be easy to keep hidden), the world should have been his oyster.
He looks like one of those gorgeous French-German hybrids from Saint Tammany Parish, and from around Monroe - basically the Britney Spears look.
What happened? Early abuse? Baby bottles filled with Mountain Dew? Too many vax jabs? Bad daycare? A PearlGirl mother, too absorbed with her own substance issues, to raise a child? Growing-up surrounded by people with no sense? Public Schools Stockholm Syndrome?
Oh, well... my husband and I have been obsessing, since we met at 17, with OVERCOMING our own cosmetic issues, and are amazed by people who've done nothing with their own naturally-good looks. In fact, we met, first week of college, in Beginner's Weightlifting. Thing is, the lifting and the supplements and the healthy foodways and the AVOIDANCE of substances, gave us MENTAL advantages, too.
Compensating for our ungainly biometrics, meant shopping the best clothing stores - an unexpected dividend of which being introductions to prominent Jacksonians who also shopped those stores. Same with daily contact, at the gym, with the people who ran (and owned) Mississippi.
I mean, Lepard's beginnings cannot have been more wretched than my own. I grew up in a tarpaper shack. And I looked like an Aye-Aye (today, even after decades of trainers, and tweaks by plastic surgeons, I look about like Lady GaGa, which isn't great). How did hideous Little Me get so lucky, and how did the genetically-blessed Lepard get so UNlucky?
While other people are hating-on him, I think I'll be praying for him.
@2:36
What in the blue hell is the point to that self aggrandizing jumble of words?
@2:36 is likely a 4chan obsessed crypto-nazi who uses words like “phenotype” and obsesses over European features that he does not posess himself. Also likely to be JJ’s resident antisemetic troll.
Among other things, Mr. BitterOldMan, it was a blueprint for progress in life. I'm going to assume that when it comes to IPOs and real estate developments, you've tended to come away with the short end of the stick. Aren't we ALL lucky, though, that a master of self-aggrandizement is running the world, now.
100 GLORIOUS days...
@2:36 PM - You left out your acute narcissism.
In the words of my friend, Phyllis, “Take him to the edge of the village, hit him in the head with a rock.”
You forgot to start your post with once upon a time, and the ending, the ending should have been they all lived happily ever after.
Think the wine's talking a little early in the day.
Ah, but I'm never never never supposed to judge someone based on their appearance.
D A jody owens has not gone after a death penalty since he took office. and he aint gonna start here. he aint got the stomach for it.
Well, this face/neck tatted "cornbread" thug wasn't stealing a loaf of bread to feed his kids ... he killed a man over the man's damn motorcycle.
is 2;36 whats called a troll?
What’s an aye-aye?
Maybe he'll get one of those leftist Democrat judges who will dismiss the charges and allow him to share a room at their house.
Wonder what he does for a living? Job?
6:19, he’s a Starbucks barista. He is just glowing with the Seattle coffee house vibe.
Leopard was a WELL KNOWN and documented Latin King in the metro area to those of us in the business. SO glad we don't have any gangs or a gang problem here or in this state. If you believe that horsesh*t keep drinking the koolaid your mayors, police chiefs and sheriffs are feeding you.
did he have his membership card on him when he was picked up?
