Thad "Clayton" Cochran still resides in the Madison County Detention Center after he was apparently unable to post bond. Cochran is the son of the late Senator Thad Cochran.
MPD charged Cochran with stalking, wilful trespass, and failure to comply with a request May 9. MPD arrested him on March 1 and charged him with trespass and contempt of court after he violated a restraining order. The charges were dismissed without prejudice. In each case, the target of his intentions was his ex-wife.
Cochran was arrested again on March 30 for violating the protective order involving his ex-wife. The case is still active. Cochran's ex-wife has been the object of his attention in all three cases.
A bond hearing was held Thursday in Madison Municipal Court. The Court set Cochran's bond at $50,000 per charge for a total bond of $150,000. If Cochran somehow posts bond, he must wear a GPS tracking monitor.

GOOD
Good. Don't feel one bit sorry for him. Repeat offender... Maybe he won't ever make bond.
Oh no!
Anyway.....
"trespass and contempt of court after he violated a restraining order. The charges were dismissed" I'd like to slap the judge for dismissing those charges. Perhaps if they had taken it seriously, there wouldn't be THREE charges against him.
Good bond amount. Maybe the ex wife will feel safe since he's locked up.
GPS tracking monitor...I remember in Hinds County case, it was discovered that the person arrested was responsible for going and getting the monitor. He didn't. What do they do in Madison county?
In Madison a kidney is surgically removed and replaced with the GPS monitor in the same space. We don't play up here.
Even though I agree with Judge's and Prosecutor's having immunity in cases they reside over or prosecute, sometimes this seems to cause them to throw their common sense out the window. Do they plan to keep " dismissing " the cases against him until his ex-wife ends up dead ? I'm not trying to cause the ex-wife additional fear, but any experienced Cop could tell you that there is a strong possibility that this could likely be where this might be headed.
Hopefully many of those that the Late Senator Cochran did so much for will step up & get his son out of jail & into a recovery program.
Is it possible that there was extraneous COACHING involved in this? ...like maybe some law firm has been war-rooming the situation, and crafting traps for Cochran to fall-into?
How many millions are grabbable, at this point? Of course, one attorney, or a professional divorcee, would be maybe capable of brainstorming it. That CCOJ crowd is full of divorce pros.
In any event, I'd personally like to say, "Dude! You're only 58. Get on a therapeutic-level Keto diet for a while. Practice fasting. Keto/Fasting will straighten-out the brain (this being only my personal opinion and not constituting medical advice). Hire a trainer, muscle-up, and stop thinking about the Ex - no matter how many subtle provocations are sent your way."
5:53, I admire your optimism, but Clayton is right where he needs to be.
My understanding is he is estranged from family and family friends or a good number of them.
To hell with making bond. Put him back on the street and we'll be reading an obituary.
Hey 6:43. In my lifetime I have seen many cases where the suspects Attorney or Family Members try to smear the victim or try to blame the victim for a suspects behavior or actions, but you Sir ( or Mam ), get my vote for the top award. And I love the Conspiracy Theories that your post started out with. If this goes to Trial, and the Venue gets moved to the Mississippi Delta and the Jury Pool is chosen there, then putting Reasonable Doubt in their minds might be possible.
He's too far gone friend....when you're father is a "beloved" Senator for as long as he was, Junior now truly thinks he's invincible...and since he's kin to said Senator, many judges fall in line like little Nancy's since they don't have to spine to do the right thing. Just another day in Corrupt Mississippi.
5:53 PM has to be a troll. There’s a high probability those that “stepped up” in the past are the reason(s) this s__t eater thinks he’s above the law.
6:43 PM, you literally made me LOL!
It just goes to prove, doesn’t it, that connections matter — so long as one’s connections maintain a heartbeat.
just one more drunken looser. madison and ridgeland are full of them.
A few years in the same cell with that tax expert wife beater at SMCI might convince even a senator's son to change his ways.
Poor Clayton...If only his daddy was here to bail him out of trouble, again.
Clayton has had issues for several years. He has always had a superiority complex; now full blown mental illness. He needs serious professional help. Hope he gets it for everyone’s sake.
The mayor up there was REAL tight with Thad. Maybe she'll ride in on a white horse.
Went to high school with his son chill dude hope he cut off all contact with this weirdo
