The city of Jackson issued the following statement last evening.
Repair work has again commenced at the Siwell Road and TV Road wells on the Jackson Maddox Well Water System.
Residents
in the impacted areas, particularly those at higher elevations, can
expect disruptions in their service until all repairs are complete.
Siwell Road Well
The City of Jackson’s contractor began work
early this morning
to
remove the temporary pump that has been in service at the Siwell Road
Well and replace it with a brand new pump. This well will remain offline
as work continues over the next few days with an
anticipated completion of Thursday, June 10, 2021, weather permitting.
TV Road Well
An
additional crew was also onsite today to take the temporary pump from
Siwell Road Well and install it at the TV Road Well. This installation
should
be completed by tomorrow, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, weather permitting.
This temporary pump will assist in adding additional water into the well
system while the Siwell Road well is offline.
Another
new pump has been secured for the TV Road Well, however, delivery is
anticipated in about a week. A further update and timeline for its
installation
at TV Road will be provided at that time.
Precautionary Boil Water Advisory
A
precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the impacted areas
and will remain in place until the repairs at the Siwell Road well are
completed
and two days of testing are approved by the Mississippi State
Department of Health.
The Jackson Maddox Well System is comprised of six wells and serves approximately 16K well water connections primarily in South Jackson and the City of Byram. It is estimated that approximately 2,000 connections have been impacted by recent disruptions at the Siwell Road and TV Road wells. We continue to ask that residents on the Jackson Maddox Well System continue to conserve water to lessen the burden on their neighbors.

Least ways it don't appear the taxpayers are paying for overtime on this project.
Why don’t I trust their time lines?
Ya'll get out and vote for "Boo Boo Wa Wa!
Citizens, primarily black, without water for over a month now with no real end in sight. LaddCo and Barksdalers don't squeak out a single word of outrage the entire time from their immoral high grounds. Frauds.
