JPD issued the following statement.
On February 5, 2026, husband and wife team, 46-year-old Nicholas Crum and 42-year- old Lillia Crum, (residents of Jackson), were arrested on charges of Felony Grand Larceny and Felony Malicious Mischief after stealing AT&T copper wiring valuing over five thousand dollars and causing over ten thousand dollars in damage of electrical components in the areas of Belvedere Drive, Monterey Street and Cummins Street in Jackson.
Bond in this case shall be in the amount of $5,000 UNSECURED, on the condition that Mr. Crum be admitted to Care Center Ministries for the term of not less than Six (6) months to ONE (1) Year to receive drug rehabilitation treatment. Further, Mr. Crum must complete the Care Center Ministries course, abide by all rules and regulations of the facility, and acknowledge the court periodically with updates. Failure to comply or complete the full course will result in a revocation of bond, and the defendant shall be returned to a NO BOND status.
JPD arrested him again in December for possession of paraphernalia. So much for Care Center Ministries.
The Crum Bumette managed to get in trouble as well. JPD arrested her in March 2025 for possession of burglary tools. The detective's affidavit states:
Did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously at 4596 Clinton Blvd Jackson MS 39209 possess pry bars, screw drivers, bolt cutters and large knives, and wrenches instruments designed to aiq. the commission of burglary by cutting copper from the ceiling at a the business and removing the copper.. The copper belonged to the Billups-Garth Foundation.
A Jackson Municipal Court judge set her bond at $15,000, ordered her to undergo screening for alcohol and drug treatment, wear a GPS monitor for three months, and get Judge Kidd to approve her enrollment in drug court.
Obviously, such measures did not work.

Meth?
She’s taller then he is? She must be the one who gets the high wires.
Hmm oddly enough they look exactly the type
They look like heavy ozempic users.
He’s to blame for the arrest. He’ll get an ass kicking when she gets him home!
So those two could show up at a scrap dealer’s office with a truckload of copper and no suspicions were raised?
That’s Crystal, she’s a Methodist.
I would be surprised if any of that copper wire is still being used. They have decommissioned most of the switching equipment that uses copper. AT&T cut over to fiber optics in all regions 10 years ago. You can’t even get a landline phone without internet now because the infrastructure for POTS landline phones is gone now. Only VoIP over internet is available. And they only install fiber optic or 5G internet now in homes. But I guess AT&T are recycling that copper wire themselves.
There should be some sort of government program to help these two to get off drugs
Why is his bail so much higher than hers? Is it because shes a woman?
11:03 copper thieves do not go to scrap dealers. By law, scrap dealers are required to collect information, copy drivers licenses, detail the type of scrap, and snap a photo of anyone selling certain metals, including copper. There's no way they could drop off AT&T line and get away with it. Copper thieves have their own ways of moving it.
Since AT&T are no longer using the cooper are you saying it okay for people to steal it?
The state should place them in rehab if they can’t afford it then the state needs help pay for it
Their troubles started with the cannabis gateway drug after watching Reefer Madness. It's the science.
That’s a rough 42 years old.
lol
No it started with Dr noseberg prescribed them adderall as children because their lazy Gen X parents couldn’t figure out how to be parents.
@12:19
No I never said or even implied that. Stop projecting your mental illness onto me.
There is a government funded rehab called Whitfield. You have to be court ordered to go there.
Daayyyyuumm. They look like they are in their 60’s.
And someone please explain how they sell the copper if the scrap yards take their information such as ID’s?
It's the culture.
Did the state needs to send them there first treatment
I wonder what happened to the “I’d hit it” guy.
