This comes off as written by a 6th grader.
I don’t believe any arrests will be made. Jackson Police have a hard time catching a cold, let alone a criminal.
Even if they did the Judge will simply employ their Catch-and-Release play or at best give a light sentence.
The Groovy Grove not so groovy any more.
We called it the "Groovy Grove" when I lived there..late 70's / early 80's. It was a lot of fun...a great place. Sad to see this.
“The Robbery/Robery unit?” Is that a division of the Department of Redundancy Department?
Is there anyone left with basic literacy?
The suspects were described as 5 to 6 unknown males wearing mask.
“Hi. I’m from JPD, and I’m retarded.”
I succame to some whiskey there circa 1987
The "Robbery/Robbery" Unit is a subdivision of the "Robbery/Homicide" Unit. Everyone knows that.
Marksmanship is last on the list of talents held by Jacksons’ citizens of merit.
In the late 70’s life was good in the Grove. I was a member of Jackson Golf World and the Cherokee was often involved in the shenanigans of youth. Sad to see the demise of such a great city to poor behavior.
There is a little known Jackson city ordinance that requires that apartment complexes have at least one shooting per month, otherwise there is a $10,000 fine payable to the sitting mayor.
Around 1980, the Grove was THE place to live for someone in their early 20s. And then party at Scrooges, Poets, and Green Lizard - those were the days. Ditto 4:35, it’s a shame that place went so ghetto.
The Grove, like so much of Jtown now, is RUINED.
It likely was, because only a 6th grade diploma is required to be a Jackson city employee, which includes the JPD.
The Dow is over 50.000, that’s what we should really be talking about.
Clever literary reference in the title, though. I’m shocked all you booklovers frequenting these comments didn’t pick up on it.
Just another day in little Detroit
Isn't this an Agatha Cristie story?
They mentioned it "appeared" to be robbery as a motive?
I call 100% BS! This was like a drug dealer hit.
I lived in Pebble Creek that adjoins this complex in 1976. The Grove was upscale and 99% palefaces in those days. Jackson was paradise then.
@7:45, gross much?
My parents met there in the late 70s and moved out when my mom was robbed at gunpoint.
JPD had a pretty good PIO in Roderick Holmes but of course Lumumba and James Davis ran him off.
JPD actually has a pretty good clearance rate.
hehe
