On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, like a plurality of other Americans I woke up exceedingly relieved that Donald Trump had demonstrably won a second term in the White House. Frankly, I cannot imagine the state of our nation today if Biden, Harris, or Walz had led us for the past 13 months. And they were the cream of the crop for Democrats, the very best!
Nevertheless, the Democrats and their cousins in the media have continually pooped out Trump Derangement Syndrome in clumps here and there because that’s the “raison d'être" of their policy arsenal.
Like other common-sense Americans, I have agreed with most of President Trump’s policies. He’s appointed a dream team of cabinet secretaries and has accomplished more in 13 months than most of his predecessors accomplished in their terms of office.
Yet something seems off about Trump’s plans for war with Iran. The United States of America is not the savior of the world. Far from it! Yes, we were the most valuable nation in the first two world wars. Arguably, we are the strongest and most powerful nation in the world today. But we are neither the arbiter nor the police for all the other nations on earth.
Why is President Trump threatening war against Iran? Ostensibly he does not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon. Nations within reach of Iran’s missiles don’t want Iran to have nuclear weapons either. Is the USA the only force on earth that can prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon? Are there other safer and effective alternatives? What are predictable consequences of another major war in the Middle East?
Many of the Iranian people have been rioting against the regime of mullahs, otherwise known as the Islamic Republic of Iran. In retribution, the leaders of Iran have been slaughtering the dissidents in the streets. President Trump put his name on the line when he promised protesters that “help is on its way.” Well, that’s awkward. What would happen if another country told protesters here in our cities that “help is on its way.”
President Trump has obviously moved faster than anyone expected to address foreign and domestic challenges. What’s the game here? In America it’s peace and prosperity for all citizens. We’re not nearly there yet. What’s the game for the rest of the world? Let all the nations do their own thing within their own borders? That ain’t going to happen naturally.
Of course, we have God’s answer in the Bible that Jesus Christ will return from heaven and will judge all the nations. Then, all the nations in the world will become His kingdom and He will rule the world in truth and righteousness. How about that, scoffers?
A friend and his wife work in non-Christian nations around the world. They spend much of their time in danger from those who threaten Christians. His last newsletter spoke encouragingly of Muslims who were coming to faith in Jesus by hundreds and thousands in nations where they have served.
Another friend is working with an Evangelical organization to train French-speaking pastors in Africa. Many are coming to Jesus even through deadly persecutions. Unexpectedly in America many are dedicating themselves to read through the Bible this year. God is pouring His Spirit over the nations of the earth. Maranatha!

This isn't the "no more endless, no‑win wars in the Middle East" Trump campaigned on. It's obvious now, isn't it, Trump is bought and paid for, dancing to the tune of his paymasters. Here at home we're racing to shithole nationhood while slinging blood and treasure all over the Middle East and Ukraine. I. Am. Done. With. Trump.
It just doesn’t make any sense. He promised us America first!
MAGA is economically impossible. America can’t go back to pre-1965 because at the end of the Cold War, we had become an empire. Our economy transitioned to the US becoming the Global Finance and consumer hub, while our allies became our manufacturing base. We sacrificed our own borders, language, and culture plus our domestic manufacturing to become the de facto global reserve currency. MAGA will destroy the American Empire. Therefore, Trump can’t go full MAGA. His policies could collapse the nation.
So what is his endgame? Why did he return to office? We won’t know for certain until his term ends and reflect on what he has done.

President Trump has now ordered the US Military to attack two foreign countries. Venezuela and now Iran, without Congressional approval. Makes me very afraid. “ Those who don’t remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.”

Trump campaigned on "Peace Through Strength" and has stayed that course. If you twist his actions to fit your narrative, you have nothing to offer Conservatives/GOP, so send a check to Gavin & AOC.

BTW Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been sent to Shay-Tahn by our close ally Israel during their 200 initial sorties with 500 targets, including the morbid brutal Mullah who ordered his Guard to slaughter 20,000+ unarmed Iranian protestors in the street. .
