Piecing the Puzzle

Are the pieces of the puzzle surrounding the recent FBI raids in Jackson starting to fall into place?  Out of state "investors" spoke to several Jackson City Council members about building a Convention Center hotel this year.  WLBT reported last night:

Ward One Councilman Ashby Foote suspects the raids could be related to a meeting he had back in February with Owens and individuals he believed to be developers interested in building a convention center hotel.

Foote says he walked away from that meeting underwhelmed, saying developers never tried to give him a “hard sell.”...

Ward Five Councilman Vernon Hartley also met with Owens and individuals believed to be developers back in January.

He initially jumped at the opportunity, because Owens told him the developers were interested in finding out about Ward 5...

Watch the exclusive story.  The video is six-minutes long but well worth watching.

Jackson doesn't need a hotel. What Jackson needs is employees that do what they are paid to do. Simple things like cutting the grass, keeping trash cleaned up, swimming pools and libraries operational etc.....

Give it a few weeks and we'll all be singing I'm on a boat - I'm on a boat - take a good hard look 'cuz I'm sailin' on a boat!

My money's on the whole thing being part of some government insured loan that would allow the bogus developers to steal a bunch of money and leave an incomplete project.

What Jackson needs is a Katrina, not a convention center.

Have we seen a set of financial statements on that convention center lately?

PLEASE PEOPLE. There never was a real development or real developers. This is all make believe as part of an FBI operation. Marked money was paid. This same marked money was found. What caused this undercover operation to take place? Was it the Richard's Garbage garbage? Somebody provided information to the FBI or other law enforcement agencies that probably put this all in motion just like in Tallahassee, Florida. May be the same "Developers" with that company FBI Developers Are Us LLC. Very soon a federal indictment will reveal details as they always do.

Don’t conventions typically book 2 to 3 years in advance?

Where are the potential conventions coming here to need a hotel?

Are the lights even still on at that place? If so, shut them off and spend the money to feed the zoo animals.

Financial statements?

Has anyone seen a financial statement on anything related to the City lately?

It just gets curiouser and curiouser............

Judging by the timeline of events, they weren't Feds.

1:31 == bulls**t. Yes, I follow KF, and enjoy reading JJ. But the interview with Foote far from "broke this story"; the Foote connection was just one more piece of the puzzle (kinda as KF noted in the headline for this post).

There's a bunch more parts pieces than just the attempts to bribe Foote, Hartley, or any of the other members of the Council; hell, the story goes back for a couple of years with parts becoming evident months ago, and the biggest parts yet to be disclosed -- wait for the indictments and you will see that the one piece you suggest was 'breaking' the story being not even a corner, much less and edge piece of this giant jigsaw puzzle. But continuing the puzzle analogy, the cover picture on the box is going to be quite telling once it all comes out

If marked money was used by the Feds why did they have two different meetings with two different councilmen? This doesn't make sense. Also the timeline of events makes no sense for them to be Feds. Why would the Feds claim to be working for a made up company only for the DA to then register that company week later?

You know what I think? I think some of you anonymous posters know what's going on if tangentially and are trying to throw people off the scent.

For those claiming Jody is working with the Feds can you make this chain of events make sense to me?

Events:
January 11, 2024 - Jody and Co meet with Vernon Hartley
February 29, 2024 - Jody and Co meet with Ashby Foote claiming to be working for Facilities Solutions Team LLC
March 19, 2024 - Jody Owens registers Facilities Solutions Team LLC with Secretary of State
May 22, 2024 - Jody Owens offices raided

Why oh why would the Feds meet with these officials and then raid who they're supposedly working with?

Trying to calculate the life expectancy of a white collar indictment of City of Jackson administration members or their associates/family/friends under the current DOJ, current VPOTUS Kamala Harris, current POTUS Joe "Pandering" Biden, with a Democratic Black Caucus Member Rep, six month before the embattled Biden's election.

Let's see: That life will end in 5.391 247 x 10-44 s. And that's a negative exponent.

Any FBI Investigation in this election year of the wrong people will be disposed of in Planck time. And that's way shorter than walk the plank time.

I don't care what the law or evidence is, it will be torpedoed by DOJ, the Dem appointed USAO, and Bennie faster than a wolfpack on a freighter off of Miami in 1942.

3:15, So Joe Biden exerts so much control over the DOJ that he's allowing his only living son to be prosecuted on a gun charge?

Ashby, Do like the rest of us of your generation. Put your Jackson house up for sale, and move to Madison county. You are military trained, and you studied WW2, and Viet Nam, I admire your faithfulness, but as you know, there is a time to retreat.

The mayor's grift on the Richard's garbage contract was so transparent that even a Democrat-appointed U.S. Attorney couldn't ignore it for long. Bennie doesn't run everything in Jackson. It's the state capital, you know, and Republican legislators and congressmen have pull too.

I don’t think the FBI would visit the Hinds County DA’s office and business for no reason, and apparently visited the Jackson Mayor’s office also. My vision for Mississippi’s Capital City…a a city run right, a city to be proud of. Politicians, from the governor down, seem to promise anything to get in office, the promote only the things that benefit them or their party. We’ll see where this goes with Hinds County leadership. Got a feeling it not going to be pretty.

Lil Choke requested FBI to investigate Harley and Foote, which undercover investigation was a fart in the wind. So, pissed off, FBI looked at Omari-Mayor files to see what evidence could justify wasting their time.

Stupid idea for a bust since onvention centers are costly, losing money pits across the country.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.

Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.

However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time.
