It is over. LSU decided a 51 year old narcissist shouldn’t cost them their SEC membership and chickened out. Apparently, there is one or two adults there after all. The pro players won’t be added per Dellenger.
Lsu has been pooshing the envelope for years, from their unruly fans to their questionable Athletic dept. ethics …Vote em off the island !!! The SEC will survive with or without them😛
There's still the matter of the 55-year old man-child Governor of Louisiana, the forthcoming court order in East Baton Rough Parish, and the judge that issued it (who can probably expect an appointment to the federal bench for his efforts).
Theater. Nothing more.
The Mississippi Black Bears sued the NCAA and had no repercussions. Its Chancellor was bowing down to this narcissist a year ago trying to keep him. Kiffin is now a symbol of Evil. He was seeing sorority girls at The Grove University and the AD looked the other way
College football is crazy as WNBA. Kiffin is forcing the idiots hand. All this money and the actual sport and competition has and is declining. Forget about what college is really for: education. We have truly forgot our purpose. But I’ll watch the animals as they play just for pure sport. Sorta like gladiators.
12:14 is exactly right; we're all still taking about it, in the ,mean time Kiffin is probably hatching three more dramas.
Head games Kiffin style.
The soul of the game is gone. No more rooting for the local kid. Now you root for the kid from 2000 miles away with the diamond chains and try to pretend it's the same as it always was. It's just Diet NFL now.
Hopefully Landry keeps pushing and accidentally brings the whole thing down
Next, we will be having courts and judges decide if the referee’s call on the field was correct. This is getting dumb… most people don’t know dumb has a b in it. Sorry, devil made me put that in.
First off, LSU has filled its roster and it doesn't include any so called NFL players. Second, LSU didn't break any rules yet you people think that they will get booted. How soon we forget that some coaches get caught calling and hiring escorts for himself and the team yet don't get booted. Cry me a river.
Will the judge be asking for selfies?
This is not just about this decision. This is setting the precedent and establishing that the conference's rules have to be followed or the SEC can and will hand out punishment, and if you refuse to comply you can and will be expelled.
The SEC and Big 10 will lead, and the Big 12 and ACC will follow, and set rules for number of transfers, salary caps, etc. This ruling will allow them to enforce the punishments when someone tries to buck the system. It's bigger than just LSU now.
SEC is doing the right thing. They are clearly moving to fill the void the NCAA can no longer fill as a governing body. This is the first step in establishing their authority. The SEC should have thrown the book at LSU when their booster was caught stealing funds from a children's cancer hospital. Only LSU and their ilk would turn a blind eye to such a stunt. "Just Different" seems to be spot on with these people.
If the Court will simply find that Lane Kiffin is a lyin, cheatin SOB, I will be content. Hotty Toddy!
When we decided that winning and money were the ONLY thing and how you played the game didn't matter much, we invited the cheaters and scammers and crooks and gamblers and charming sociopaths all to be a welcomed part of our culture . If you want to see homeboys win fair and square, go to a junior high game!
The stunt is over according to my sources. Look for wording to be tightened up so this doesn't happen again.
Of all the games I’ve watched so far I don’t think I’ve seen any mention of these STUDENT athletes’ academic majors.
If you voluntarily join a club, you agree to abide by its rules. If you don’t you can and should be kicked out. Pretty simple.
Kiffin's shenanigans were fully embraced, encouraged and defended by the same crowd that wanted him to refuse the LSU paycheck because well,...Oxford is your family, Lane!
Quite the family, indeed.
There are some interesting provisions in the draft order in Louisiana. The NCAA and SEC would be:
enjoined from prohibiting any Plaintiff from participating at any NCAA Division I institution during the 2026–2027 season on the basis that the Plaintiff did not enter the NCAA transfer portal or violated any SEC transfer rule.
. . .
on the basis that they played at a junior college prior to starting their NCAA careers and counting their first season of junior college competition against their years of NCAA eligibility and start of their eligibility clock;
. . .
based on any actions Plaintiffs took to participate in or market themselves for participation in professional athletics after the conclusion of their 2025-26 season, such as signing a professional contract, agent contract, or playing in a professional sporting event,
. . .
Louisiana State University (“LSU”) is restrained and enjoined from take[ing] any action adverse to ____list all LSU athletes___, or any other Plaintiff in this case who enrolls as a student at LSU.
I don't think that order is rendered moot by virtue of LSU filling the last two open slots on its roster. It leaves the door open to adding players if any current player suffers a season-ending injury or illness.
And that last part about LSU not being able to "take any action adverse to" any plaintiff could be a real wild card. I can already hear "we're just following a court order."
None of the will stop Mississippi getting their ASS handed to them next week. Run on this Defense if you think you can. Try to stop that 600+yards of offense.
Looks like Sankey couldn't hold his erection for 4 hours. Hearing continued.
I'm predicting a voluntary dismissal by the SEC.
You will be wrong.
While calling him everything but a child of God please Remember: IF OLE MISS HAD THEIR WAY KIFFEN WOULD STILL
BE IN OXFORD!!!!
2:18, By November of last year, the people who were "in the know" at Ole Miss didn't care if Kiffin stayed or went.
But even if you were right, that does absolutely nothing to excuse or diminish his and LSU's conduct since then.
But I don't expect you to accept that, because trying to reason with an LSU fan is like talking to a drunk teenager.
Need a new crystal ball, or ouija board, or whatever, because your prediction is a might poor bet. The one - and only one - that can back down from this impending explosion is LSU. The SEC can't, and won't; besides it has the law and rules on its side, along with common sense. The old saying among lawyers is you need at least one of those three on your side, unless of course you have the Judge -- which they did in their little home-cooking court in Baton Rouge. But that ship has sailed and now they are playing with the big boys.
Yes 2:40, its true that "BY November" of last year there were plenty of folks in Oxford who didn't give a damn. But in October, September, and the many months/years prior to that they all loved and adored the guy, including a few of the sorority girls around campus. By LATE November, there were some that didn't care but that kinda skips over the fact that prior to his last antics, OM loved all his previous antics or else thought he had truly reformed and would be a better person now living amongst their finest.
3:43, And that has what to do with the SEC lawsuit?
3:40 I don’t think even LSU can stop this train at this point.
There are a lot of plaintiffs listed in the Louisiana order, and not one of them is LSU.
Since LSU isn’t a party to the case, even though it was certainly behind it, there is nothing LSU or the governor can do to make that order go away.
And let’s not forget about basketball, to which the injunction also applies.
