Still Looking for Dog, $1,000 Reward

Hunter Crisler is still searching for his canine companion, Smoke.  Hoodlums stole his Escalade from the Bulldog parking lot last week.  Losing the SUV sucks but Smoke was in the vehicle when it was stolen.

A now-torched Escalade was found in a car wash in West Jackson.  Mr. Crisler posted on Facebook:

truck was found and confirmed mine by the worthless Jackson police department. Called at 1am to tell me to come get it or they would tow it to impound. No answers as to if anything was in it, nothing. Still praying for my sweet boy’s safe return. Keep looking! Keep sharing! He is out there. Thank you all!

Jpd is worthless. Refused to tell me anything about what was in it but immediately towed it.

Smoke has been seen in the Ridgewood and Plantation Boulevard areas over the last 48 hours so please keep an eye out for him.   If you see Smoke, call Hunter Crisler at 720.209.2297.

What’s the point of all the carjackings of you just drive around for a joyride and then abandon it. I mean I’d at least understand a little better if they went to chop shops for money. Just stealing for the hell of it.

“ Called at 1am to tell me to come get it or they would tow it to impound.“ So, JPD was going to let him personally haul off evidence? I realize it’s not a high priority case, and this isn’t CSI, but would JPD really tell him to come take away the crime scene? Secondly, if they called at 1 am, and then “immediately towed it”, who took the daylight photo? I guess JPD immediately towed it about 7+ hours later, or they found it the day before, snapped a pic, and waited until just after midnight to call? Weird protocol.

I knew something didn't smell right with this cat!?

Little Hunter, the owner of the Cadillac Escalade, also owns a "Cannabis Company" in Colorado. Little fugger grew up in Clinton and was conveniently in town for the weekend.

If you are going to hang out with your friends, why leave your dog in the truck?

Look here, when you operate in a certain element and you like to floss on Facebook - keep in mind, there are people in that same element keeping track of what you are doing and where you go.

There's more to this story and little Tristan is not telling it.

We'll you're right about one thing. It's not a high priority case and it isn't CSI. And a torched, stolen vehicle isn't a crime scene unless death or serious injury is involved.
Everything else sounds about "par for the course".
I do hope the dog is found.

I never, ever make a comment on this site even though I read it quite often. This story and the story on the Charles Tisdale Library have brought me to the point of absolute disgust, bordering on nausea! Where is the outrage from the citizens of the "City with Soul"? Where is the outrage from the Mayor? This young man makes the mistake of visiting a restaurant and his truck, motorcycle, and precious dog are stolen. Just another day in Jackson, granted, but then to be treated as he obviously has been by law enforcement is indicative of why Mississippians fear for their very lives and property if, Heaven forbid, they have to come to their capital city for any reason. My son and I happened to be on Ridgewood Road that Tuesday when the young man was shot and killed! We were on our way to Cardiac Rehab. Who will dare to step forward and speak for those of us who make trips to Jackson for medical reasons, etc.?
Who will dare to remind Jackson leadership that this is the state capital? I apologize profusely to the young man and I pray his dog is found!

well, who will dare remind the leadership in Mississippi, that Jackson is a part of the state too?

Tate Reeves has been in a position to do something to address crime in Jackson, economic issues that affect Jackson, for a period of 10 years as Lt. Governor and Governor. That's a lot longer than Baby Chok has been mayor.

You speak on the shooting that happened on Ridgewood, what about the millions of other Americans that have to deal with workplace shootings, shootings at schools, countless public spaces like Walmart and grocery stores? Two cops were having lunch in Nevada and were shot by some lunatic. With the level firearms that are readily available in this country, you can get caught in the midst of gunfire in any public space.

If you are too afraid to travel to the "Capital City", what do you think it's like in bigger cities!? SMH

JPD is a fucking joke. They don't need the National Guard in here, they need to bring in the 1st ID (BRO) with severely relaxed ROE. Shoot first, shoot again, shoot some more then ask questions.

This event has an aroma of insurance fraud to me. Owner of a MJ store in Colorado, just happens to be in town around the time of the I-65 court decision, and his car is stolen? Used vehicles are at all time high in value, and the thieves burn it up? Hope he finds his dog, but I believe Smoke is ok and safe somewhere. Smoking that stuff will make you stupid, no matter how smart you were to start with.

Crisler’s social media profile indicates he runs a business call Crisler Cannabis Company and in a social media comment he said the truck contained $20,000 of his product.

I feel so bad for the dog. He deserved much better.

Working at the car wash, working at the car wash yeah.....working at the huh what that smell......working on this bag of Cheetos, right?......

Can you say "insurance fraud?" I know you can. Escalades are keyless, so how was it stolen?

11:50. I thought you were being a troll and I apologize. I see the same post by him on the fb page. Either way stealing a vehicle is not acceptable but I wonder if this was an inside job by someone who knew about the drugs. Maybe his folks and maybe not. I’m not here to pick sides. Would make sense why they stole it and burned it after getting out all the product to resell.

As I have told you goobs, this whole story is concocted bull shit, plain and simple. The clown was broke and wants his insurance company to pony up.

"Please, of please, Lord God Almighty please save my dog and bring him back to me. I don't care about the truck, the bike, the weed or the 40 thou in the console. This pup is the love of my life, oh Please. Oh please. I'm posting on the dog pages too, Oh, please."

Anybody out there still believe this bullshit story?

Two things jumped out at me, but since I'm neither a car thief or insurance fraudster, I'm not sure they mean anything to the pros.

1. Who breaks into a car with a dog in it unless you REALLY want THAT car (or you and the dog know each other)? Even if the alleged thief simply saw the truck from a distance, ran up without looking, and smashed the window with dog asleep in the back seat, climbing into a car with a strange dog, now wide-awake due to the activity, seems...counterintuitive. And on top of that, to steal it only to joyride around for a couple of hours and then burn it?

2. Why would someone committing insurance fraud post all over social media, etc. about the dog (and all the surrounding circumstances) if the truck and contents weren't actually stolen? Again, no personal experience in these matters but it would seem that a, er, dog-free, quiet, out-of-way, low-publicity "theft" would be the way to go, not literally begging (and offering a reward to) potential witnesses to call any- and everyone with information.

The odd thing is these two points seemingly indicate totally different things but again, maybe some car-thieving insurance cheat can post a reasonably explanation that encompasses both.

According to the lamestream media the dog has now been found.

Praise to God! Smoke has been found!!

FB reports Smoke has been returned to his owner!

Can it be confirmed of Smoke’s condition when found? Praying he’s in good health and wagging his tail.

Car stolen just to be burned? They lost Smoke before.

9:18AM, responding to:

"Car stolen just to be burned? They lost Smoke before.

https://www.wkrn.com/news/community-helps-reunite-colorado-couple-visiting-nashville-with-dog/"

The plot thickens.

But note, no theft involved (or at least none mentioned in that story) and the story reports that they tried to pay the $1000 they offered but the finder refused it (as would any decent person in a similar situation).

I wonder..."Smoke"...gone at least twice when the owners aren't there. And this time the car in which he was , ahem, all alone goes missing and...er, up in smoke. I hope the dog and the owner have good alibis.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
