Tonarri Moore is going to federal prison for four years. Moore pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm a year ago in U.S. District Court. The court docket states:
Minute Entry for proceedings held before District Judge Kristi H. Johnson: Sentencing held on 2/12/2025 for Tonarri Moore (1), Count(s) 1. Sentence of the Court: 48 months imprisonment followed by a 3-year term of supervised release. Defendant ordered to pay a $1,500 partial fine and a $100 special assessment.Moore has prior convictions for manslaughter, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and distributing cocaine. He served five years in prison for the manslaughter conviction back in the 1990's.
The DEA raided Moore's home in Edwards on September 14, 2021. U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate issued the warrant. Agents found "1-2 ounces of cocaine" hidden in a wall, marijuana, a loaded 9mm handgun found in the tank of a toilet, a hunting rifle, and various calibers of ammunition. Moore disagreed with the amount of cocaine stated by the prosecution as he had an animated conversation with his attorney, Princess Abby.
The defendant pleaded guilty. Judge Johnson set his sentencing for June 5 at 1 PM. Moore faces a maximum fine of $250,000 and prison sentence of 10 years. U.S. District Judge Kristi Johnson presided over the hearing.
As the federal case closes, a new one opens up in Madison against the Edwards resident. Madison police arrested Moore on January 7 for receiving stolen property and possessing marijuana after they caught Moore driving a stolen vehicle.
However, once Moore was arrested, JPD suddenly informed Madison Police the owner of the stolen vehicle said he was dropping the charges because there was a "misunderstanding." The charges are still pending against Moore.
Moore was the chief witness against former Hinds County Interim Sheriff Marshand Crisler. Crisler was convicted of selling ammunition to Moore, a convicted felon. Crisler will serve 30 months in prison.
Moore's troubled ways came to a head last year when he was arrested for murder in the disappearance of Larry Reynolds. However, Moore has not been indicted for the crime.

A great Mississippian-
Even ratting out Crisler didn't keep this low-life out of jail. So sad.
i saw larry reynolds make a comment on a post on facebook supposedly after him going missing. maybe the dates were tacky but i don't understand
Oh what a tangled web we weave. No wonder we can get crime under control in Hinds County; the then interim Sheriff was supplying felons with a gun and ammunition and the DA said his job was part time all while buying cows and pussy (his words)!
Hinds County has a 2-5 year turnaround on going to trial and Madison 6 months. Now don’t quote me on that, but close!
Another tragic casualty of the war on drugs. Let’s just legalize everything, get it all out on the table, and let the government either sell it or tax it or both. After all, the government does such a great job with everything else it administers.
The guy had all these drugs, guns, and ammunition, but had to get a federal public defender to represent him?
Glad he is finally going to jail. Hate it went down from 10 years to 3. Hopefully the Madison pending charges will add some time to that.
