Richard's Disposal yet again failed to pick up the garbage in Northeast Jackson yesterday.
The company did not pick up garbage Thursday due to bad weather. Waste Management cancelled its service in the burbs as well but ran the Thursday routes on Friday and the Friday routes on Saturday. Unfortunately, Richard's Disposal took the easy way out and said it would pick it up at the next scheduled day.
Richard's Disposal pulled a similar stunt over a year ago when severe storms passed through the area. Richard's did not pick up the garbage, claiming it could not take the garbage to the Waste Management transfer station in West Jackson since it lost power. However, Waste Management said it could still accept garbage and its trucks ran their regular routes while Richard's made excuses.

“Failed to pick up the garbage in NORTHEAST JACKSON.” Bwahahahahaha
I sure would love to see Jackson like it was before “perception of crime” Ditto put the JPD on the wrong path and started the city’s demise back in the 1990’s. So, I promise, I’m rooting for anything good that can happen to Jackson. But watching the naivete of residents that continue to reward the current Jackson Mayor’s extremely horrible behavior, by moving into that cliquey area over there “east” of Ridgewood…is just comical.
Of course they living in Jackson, but they ain’t sending their kids to those Jackson public schools.
This is the only forum I have to complain other than an angry phone call to City Hall. That's next.
No garbage pick up last week, last Thursday and yesterday. Maybe weather last weeek but it did not start raining until 4:00 PM yesterday!
The trash pick up so far has been acceptable, not dependable. (They keep ruining our plastic cans.) I guess that's acceptable but maybe it isn't. Enough of this.....
Garbage, just like the joke of a mayor.
The title should read "Good Job, Chokwe."
Richard's picked up the garbage on my street in NE Jackson yesterday (Monday).
That's how organized crime rolls.....
Richard is a nobody and lo proved it

Keep fighting the good fight 8:14. I support your desire to live in filth. Never give up on your dream.
Residents of any city only want a few things.
They want the fire department to come when the house is on fire.
They want the popo to come when they are needed.
They want their trash picked up on a regular basis.
They want to be able to turn on a faucet and have clean water come out.
And, they want their poo to go to a sewage treatment facility.

They just picked up my garbage, this AM one day after schedule!
It picked up mine in Fondren. Doesn’t prove that it was picked up everywhere.
I live in Northeast Jackson. I was happy for the one-day delay as it gave us time to add our debris from the storm to "the collection". It also doesn't bother me that perhaps those who empty our trash had time to take to do the same for their friends and families. I can't help but think 1) more than a few commenting don't live in Jackson and/or 2) don't think before you comment or 3) just are negative humans or) who think you are the center of universe and like 2 year olds throw a fit when you don't get what you want when you want it. And, I so know those things mean that you are immature and selfish.
NE Jackson republicans have no clout with the COJ. They are, however, the source of funding to run its operations.
It picked up mine in Fondren but that doesn't prove that others did not have service yesterday.
They probably quit yesterday because me and a lot of neighbors loaded them down with storm debris plus the additional garbage they didnt collect last week because of a little wind.
Richard's = Racketeer Influenced Cartel Hacks at Rapidly Decaying Suburbs
I live in Fondren. They picked mine up around 745am yesterday. Not sure what's going on with yours.
Fondren isn't NE Jackson.
Sorry KF but this is click bait. They didn’t pick up Thursday because of the weather and came on Monday. It’s really not a big deal. I’ve found the Richard’s workers to be hard working with no issues. The contract is a fraud but the workers aren’t.
Actually no. RD did not pick up yesterday in quite a few areas in NE Jackson. WM faced the same storm and simply reset schedules and picked up garbage a day later, not take an extra day off as RD did.
Trash as NOT picked up yesterday and I live in fancy ass Eastover.....
It's The Fondren, not Fondren.
This is a "minor" issue like Thalia Mara Hall, and it's just a "perception" that garbage was not picked up. Right?
12:47 - I've been here for 53 years. I know damned well wtf to call it.
Brandon resident here. I was notified that trash would not pick up Thursday and all subsequent pick ups would be shifted by one day later.
No complaints.
I feel like NE Jxn probably lowered the ol' expectation bar when they went weeks with no pickup so they just don't mind paying more and waiting longer for their trash service. To each their own.
The Fondren isn't NE Jackson.
Was it a paid day off for the Richard's staffers?
They did not pick up garbage at all from Sept 9th until the 16th in my part of NE Jackson. Everybody had full cans on the street.
