She allegedly told someone, “the mf can stand over there looking crazy all he wants to, come Monday morning all of his access will be cut.”

That happened this morning.

She has done everything she possible could to humiliate him, and this morning she cut his access off to the building and he had to be escorted around until she fired him.

Again, I’m no Watts fan…but this is disturbing.

@ 8:24 and @5:00 pm-Mississippi is an at-will employment state, meaning an employer or employee can end the working relationship at any time, for any reason, or no reason at all. My point in saying it's dumb is that there are some employers using the at will game to disguise the real reason for firing...Racism ! I see it happening everyday.

I saw the report of the officer named Wendell getting fired. I am not familiar with him. Can someone enlighten me and tell me why he was fired? Was a reason given for his firing?

You almost got it right. Let me help: In an at-will state, an employee can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all other than in violation of federal or state employment law or certain positions protected by contract.

Surely you know, 'a good lawyer' comes in handy in situations of illegal termination, such as illegal discrimination (race, age, sex, religion, handicap status).

This woman (fired from her last LEO administrative position) took this job in order to secure a PERS retirement. I guaran-damn-tee you she will never last through the vesting period.

The prior Department of Education chief did that and managed to become vested with 8 years and retire. That won't be duplicated in this situation.

Mr Watts should file some legal actions (descrimination) just to get their attention. Make them work...to pull evaluations and other files just for the sake of it even though we are talking about at will employee. The new chief had not even been there long enough to know Mr Watts first name.

I wouldn't just let this one slide. Mr. Watts should start with HR on a few questions even though they won't answer them. On my job my HR person is soooo dumb, it's obvious she's here to protect the employer only and don't know nothing about laws that can get them in trouble. It's crazy how information can squeeze its way into your file without you knowing about it.

Every chief we get always rearranges the command staff. Some get demoted, some get let go. What probably gets most people on this one is how Watts was treated. Instead of just terminating him, he was humiliated and degraded before the whole department.
