It's official. Jackson Academy and the Voyles family will settle their feud behind closed doors.
If the Voyles' goal of litigation was to expose alleged whatever by Jackson Academy, this agreement scuttles said goal. The plaintiffs still get discovery but all discussions and filings will take place behind closed doors.

Who cares
Will it affect the upcoming football season?
It will all come out one day
I said that there was no way this dispute does not get compelled to arbitration. A lot of people who do not litigate this specific issue regularly were on this comment board talking about how the arbitration clause would not be held enforceable.
Just like Barbie Bassett's case. How she was going to win.
Yet here we are.
I wouldn't trust a signature like that. Who does that?
Duel at 20 paces?
Next, I would love for JA to build a pedestrian bridge across Ridgewood to Parham Bridges Park. Seems muchos sympatico benefits could happen enabling students and nearby residents safe access to playground, walking-running trails, tennis courts and one more bridge for "Bridges" name.
My give-a-damn meter is reading low on this one. This type of litigation happens at the crossroads of family money and entitlement.
JA blinked.
And even after this, spoiled entitled will never be happy.
KF, why are you reposting? Old news. Move on.

May every meathead coach and headmaster that supports their recruiting have the home next to theirs purchased by an investor and leased to a low income HUD tenant that pays nothing at all.
We still need to know:
1 . Who is financing all the recruits tuition?
2. Which coaches asked parents for money? Including the head baseball coach, assistants and WR coach that are gone.
3. How many people meet or emailed Eddie and Palmer? I know at least 10. JA obviously keeps the emails. Can we get redacted emails?
4. How many people emailed the board members about recruiting and how the school looks. Can we get redacted emails of these conversations?
5. Does Eddie admit the Volyes were dealing with facts?
6. Who all got the PDF?
7. Was anything on the PDF false?
8. How did the PDF/recruits embarrass the school (Eddie’s words)
9. Why did oil money leave?
10. How does recruiting look this year?
11. How do the graduating seniors feel about their school?
I say maybe the coaches that have left/fired testify and answer what the school and AD wanted them to do.
Why do "we" need to know? It's a private school.
One thing that is amusing is how the Voyles get blasted for making the list because these are BABIES. Uh-huh. These kids are all on the high school sports websites. The school prominently displays the athletes on its website and programs. The kids, most of them anyway, have their own social media pages that are NOT set on private. In other words, the kids are presenting themselves publicly to the world as JA athletes.
The private schools cannot chase "winning" like publicly-funded institutions. Public schools have a long track record of poor educations and stellar athletics, but private schools cannot trade their academic prowess for strength and speed. It's just not going to work.
10:58 That's the signature of Judge Yemi Kings.
Seems to be a lot of foam about football recruiting at a private high school. Lots of Peyton Place shit at such schools but in the past not about this type of thing. Might be something for all with a dog in the hunt to consider yet something that many of them will get totally wrong. This will not end well. Fortunately the vast majority of the public won't be anywhere near the blast radius.
I think I'll go with 6:16 for today's win!
The unforgivable sin JA committed was winning. Recruiting like cheating means nothing if you lose. There are losers doing things worse than JA ever did. But they lost and nobody cares. Be honest, you know it's true.
This is not a public school where scholars are pampered day and night, taken home by bus, fed morning, evening and summer meals. And here you go suggesting a school "parent" the students by funding their access to a playground, walking trails, tennis courts and additional fun stuff. Private schools exist to educate students, not to pay for their access to play time unassociated with education.
Not to mention the City of Jackson would never allow a private school to build an access landing to a city park.
The fact that a JA parent/woman could have lost her life due to a home break in because headmasters and board trustees allow coaches and their heaf jank type partners to bring in kids with parents that pay nothing just to win fake championships, proves sports addiction is a really serious problem in our country.
We live in a world where Jackson Academy is able to recruit more talented athletes than the head football coach and staff at Mississippi State.
You just described what all of College Football did for the last few years. Now the high schools think they can do it.
Their sports program is now being controlled by the Clinton guy - he’s pulling the strings and calling the shots. Watch him run more people off.
