Gee, how often did we hear Chokwe brag about the Real Time Crime Center? WLBT reported:
A recent audit of Jackson’s Real-Time Command Center [RTCC] reveals severe staffing shortages, as well as hundreds of inoperable cameras. Jackson Police Chief RaShall Brackney revealed details of the findings at a Jackson City Council committee meeting on Thursday. She told members that of the 700 or so cameras that have been reviewed, more than 400 were not working. Meanwhile, she says that the center has just four staffers, and that the center has historically not been staffed on nights and weekends.
“We currently have one opening, and one that will be coming open,” she said. “We’ve been talking to HR about all of our needs, about not just these positions, but other non-sworn [positions].” To address the problem, Brackney has adjusted shifts to expand coverage. She also has issued a directive to each precinct to identify a person during each shift to send to the facility so it can be staffed. It was fake from day 1. "Real time crime center" was the buzz word bloviated by the politicians around the U.S. at the time. Getting "tough on crime" always generates votes.
But did it matter because it was "just a perception of crime." Right?

I heard that when it was staffed, it was by a sex offender relative of Chokwe's. But you don't need cameras to know where these antisocial assholes are having their ridiculous car meet up on Sunday nights.
