JPD issued the following statement.
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, JPD responded to The Hideaway Night Club in the 5100 block of
I-55 North regarding a shooting in the parking lot of the establishment that claimed the life of
19-year-old Alana Duck and seriously injured two others.
An investigation by the JPD Robbery/Homicide Unit led to the arrest of 17-year-old Terrell Baldridge on
the charges of Murder and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault. His initial appearance in municipal court
was held on May 29, 2026, and he was denied bond.

On June 4, 2026, 20-year-old Oshea Morris was arrested by JPD Robbery/Homicide detectives. He was
charged with Accessory After the Fact. Morris’s Initial Appearance was held this morning
Friday, June 5, 2026. He was also denied bond.

Kingfish note: The JPD affidavit for Baldridge states the suspect:
did willingly, unlawfully, feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd.( Hideaway), without authority oflaw and of his malice aforethought, with deliberate design to effect death, kill and murder Alana Duck, a human being, by shooting her about the body in violation of
Mississippi Code Section 97-3-19(1).
did purposely, knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd. ( Hideaway), cause serious bodily injury to Calvin Sheffield, with an unknown caliber
weapon, a deadly weapon, by shooting him in the left elbow and abdomen in violation of
Mississippi Code Section 97-3-7(2)(a)(ii)
did purposely, knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd. ( Hideaway), cause serious bodily injury to Madisen Watkins, with an unknown caliber
weapon, a deadly weapon, by shooting her in the left buttocks in violation of Mississippi Code Section 97-3-7(2)(a)(ii)

The " hypothesis" should be factual and the fact is men's brains are slower to develop. We do know that our genetics determine who we are physically, but not in the Nazi version or RFK jr.'s nonsense. And don't know with any certainty when it comes to height.
Neither of Micheal Jordan's brother's are over 5'8". Look up the heights of the children of famous basketball centers.
But we even ignore the good science that does exist if we don't want to believe it or think we can profit from junk science.
I've never heard of this " Hideaway Night Club".
Is it in the old Deville Cinema ?
If so, I remember the public outcry when that theater showed "The Exorcist" film back in the 1970s. But I don't recall hearing any recent public objections to a thug bar moving into to the venue.
