JPD issued the following statement.
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, JPD responded to The Hideaway Night Club in the 5100 block of I-55 North regarding a shooting in the parking lot of the establishment that claimed the life of 19-year-old Alana Duck and seriously injured two others. An investigation by the JPD Robbery/Homicide Unit led to the arrest of 17-year-old Terrell Baldridge on the charges of Murder and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault. His initial appearance in municipal court was held on May 29, 2026, and he was denied bond. On June 4, 2026, 20-year-old Oshea Morris was arrested by JPD Robbery/Homicide detectives. He was charged with Accessory After the Fact. Morris’s Initial Appearance was held this morning Friday, June 5, 2026. He was also denied bond.![]() |

did willingly, unlawfully, feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd.( Hideaway), without authority oflaw and of his malice aforethought, with deliberate design to effect death, kill and murder Alana Duck, a human being, by shooting her about the body in violation of Mississippi Code Section 97-3-19(1). did purposely, knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd. ( Hideaway), cause serious bodily injury to Calvin Sheffield, with an unknown caliber weapon, a deadly weapon, by shooting him in the left elbow and abdomen in violation of Mississippi Code Section 97-3-7(2)(a)(ii) did purposely, knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously at 5100 I-55 North Frontage Rd. ( Hideaway), cause serious bodily injury to Madisen Watkins, with an unknown caliber weapon, a deadly weapon, by shooting her in the left buttocks in violation of Mississippi Code Section 97-3-7(2)(a)(ii)
