Cue the pathetic mediocre white males barely earning above the state average salaries and crowing because women and people of color earn millions!
Sweet Lord. Check out the high salaries from Canopy Children's Solutions. The CEO is making damn near half a million dollars per year while the leadership staff is making well over 200,000 per year.
Can you really put a price on the work they do dealing with abused kids?
I almost got a job at Canopy Children's Solutions, but their pay was terrible.
It's all about the children though, right?
2:20 Some people are just jealous cause they don't play football or basketball so good. Big deal.
Are any of the contributions and grants taxpayer funds?
The funniest part is the amount of money Nbkomogogo has in non-interest bearing cash
Where do they have their bi-annual off-site conferences? Cruise ship? Maui? Aspen?
I"ll bet anybody a donut that Lambright drives a Benz
I prefer the private sector where bribery is legal.
Tyranny of the Non-Profits.....Mississippi is not immune.
Shhhh, wink, and nod.
The $100 million TANF story is a mere fraction of the actual fraud/grift by the most connected on the sheeple of MS.
Even Mississippi Today tiptoes around exposing the level of abject corruption that is concealed and perpetuated by the highest in office.
NOWHERE in the private sector would an executive at a $27 million revenue company be pulling a salary of $300,000 - $564,000 unless said executive was the owner. Thank you for posting this Kingfish. People should be aware of such things when they start picking charities to support.
2:20 needs a Xanax-Thorzine cocktail.
None of you piss ants would dare do the work that Canopy does or have the stamina or vision to lead an organization like this. We are fortunate to have them, and they do not make enough.
Shame on you all, i bet 90% have no clue what they deal with or what they do. Walk a mile before you open your mouth and remove all doubt that you are an idiot!
Racism and virtue-signaling in the very first comment! Y'all don't fail to disappoint no matter how low we set the damn bar.
Yeah most of you can’t imagine what it’s like for your job to be helping some little girl put her life back together after her own father and supposed protector, robs her of her innocence and sense of safety and self worth.
Well I know I would feel guilty as crap taking a $300,000 to $500,000 salary using resources that could have helped that little girl.
Facts: Canopy is a statewide children’s mental health provider, school district for children with special needs, and social services organization. They are doing life-changing work for thousands of vulnerable children and families every day.

@01/28, 2.20 PM & 01/28, 4.01 PM & 01/29, 7.18 AM & 01/29, 10.20 AM:
How much should the CEO of Canopy Solutions be paid?
Bullshit. Social services is where the deepest insulation lies. Shad and others can't criticize them because of the political backlash from the poor, redneck, hypocrite Baptists who scream, "But it's for the children" without a clue as to the amount of money they're being fleeced.
So, my remarks to 8:29 a.m. - you are ok with a $30,000,000 organization spending 60% or 18,000,000 on salary and employee benefits?
I too agree that Canopy does a good job. But to me any organization that spends that amount on employees, etc…do we really care?
Canopy keeps thousands of kids from entering into state custody each year. I would be more interested to know how much money Canopy saves the state / taxpayers by diverting these children from state custody. Millions
Well over 500K imo!
I know, because they would be making A LOT more money than that.
They have over 600 employees. I think that averages 30K per employee
Where else would the majority of revenues go? Canopy provides mental health, educational, family support, and others services. Guess what: these services have to be provided through employees such as therapists, social workers, teachers, and support staff. Also, like the other commenter said, Canopy is a fairly large organization with over 600 employees.
I don't care how much goes to employees. They are providing a much needed service. I DO care about how much goes to 4 employees. That is criminal.
There ya go 11:51 a.m. - of the funds available to the organization, how much, if any, is taxpayer money? If there is any taxpayer money being utilized, how much do they receive and how much do they save the MS Taxpayer by diverting them away from state custody.
