As a State fan, I would never pull for Ole Miss. However, I will admit that they looked really good and had a heck of a run. However, Indiana would've embarrassed them badly.

If I get anymore smoke blown up my ass about Mario Cristobal I'm going off the deep end and likely making the trip to do some illegal dumping somewhere in Northeast Jackson.

Grateful that Kiffin moved on.

The three best things that happened during the play offs were:
1) Watching Ole Miss's hopes dashed on the last play of the game and all the whining about a missed call.
2) Watching Alabama get absolutely violated and humiliated by Indiana.
3) All SEC teams eliminated from playing for the national title. This will be the fourth year in a row with no SEC national title.

Ole Miss should be happy about where they decided to exit the proceedings.....I don't think watching an Ole Miss/Indiana game was going to be fun for any of them.

Indiana hasn't faced an offense like that all year either. The Ole Miss line did a pretty good job of holding off Miami's line, especially in the second half. They didn't have the field day they had against Ohio State.

It’s pretty stupid to think the way to elevate your team is to hope your rival performs poorly. And it’s a special kind of immaturity to say it out loud.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the SEC is now suffering from the current situation in college football that they helped create.

I'm a State grad and a lifelong fan -- and I supported Ole Miss 100%. They had an excellent CFP run and should have had an extra play due to PI. I hope y'all get Trinidad for another year, he seems like a great kid.

I can support another Mississippi school and Mississippi kids who are excelling on a national stage and still hope State wins all Egg Bowls for the rest of time.

Oh, and SEC Shorts deserve many awards.

Where can a man place a bet that if Miami somehow beat Indiana(slim odds) Michael Irvin will have a cocaine overdose within 48 hrs? I guess it would be like a parlay.

Absolutely, the Ole Miss offensive line won its battles with the "vaunted" Miami defensive line; however, the difference in the game was the the Miami offensive line embarrassed/mauled the Ole Miss defensive line. I would have loved to see the Ole Miss/Indiana matchup. It would've likely have been a fun shootout and Indiana would have emerged victorious. Indiana will beat Miami but that Miami offensive line is going to give them fits.

These folks kill it every week, and this surely didn’t disappoint.
