Check out what Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba does when the City Council recited the Pledge of Allegiance today.
This is not a one-time occurrence as Hizzoner always walks into the City Council meetings immediately after the Pledge is recited.

I hate that..
Im not surprised that Chok-me does that. I am surprised that NOBODY ever questions him or calls him out for doing it. It is disgraceful for any elected mayor of any US city to do that. Good riddance.
Nothing reveals who he is better than ducking out on the pledge.
I hope this is used in an ad. What an infantile egomaniac.
Stickin it to whitey
Why would he pledge to a country he wants to break a chuck off of?
he is simply a commie
Chowke must have a Kush flag back there in the coat closet to which he pledges.
He won't be missed. It will take the next mayor an entire term to reverse the substantial damage he inflicted upon the city.
Only a few more weeks.
Not remotely surprising behavior from Edwin Taliaferro, Jr. Still seeking recognition of the Republic of New Africa...
You mean 4 more days?
It's just another opportunity to bring attention to himself. Can't wait for this buffoon to be out of the spotlight.
I am not sure why this would surprise anyone. He is a separatist. He does not want to be part of the United States of America. He wants to live in a separate nation carved out of the U.S. I guess maybe I don't understand the definition of treason because it would seem to me that being a part of an effort to overthrow part of the country is treason.
No man, and I use that term loosely, should be elected to any office in the U.S. Too many good men have given their life for that flag.
I read somewhere…”Content of Character.”
Never served in the military, is critical of anything good happening in NE Jackson although he lives in NE Jackson, promotes his faith, integrity & love of wife & family while being a philanderer & indicted multiple times, always thinking the COJ & its citizens are owed benefits from the state & Federal government that no other city/town receives. Don’t know where he will go after his term in over but hope he & his crew leaves Mississippi for good.
POS! the only silver lining is that the good ole US vs Chuck-way will be the last thing he gets to experience, and he can put his hand on the bible and swear to, uhummm- tell the truth, nothing but the truth! HAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA we will have the last laugh.
Lying Lumumba has a lot bigger problems than not pledging allegiance to the Yankee flag. The Pledge of Allegiance was written by a socialist to encourage blind obedience to the State so he ought to love it.
No one who cherishes liberty and the principle of self government, and who understands the founding of the United States correctly should repeat the Pledge. The Declaration of Independence clearly states that it is the right of the people to alter or abolish a government that becomes abusive of Liberty. This also means that they may leave a tyrannical union and form “a more perfect union”.
Pledging allegiance is silly and wrong, as a free man may have to one day break that pledge to maintain liberty, just as the Founding Fathers declared their allegiance to the British crown null and void.
All that being said, I understand the appearance of anti-Americanism displayed by this lying sack of Communist crap is accentuated by not participating in the ritual obedience ritual.
Yep. Standing with April 18, 2025 at 12:38 PM am I.
Chowke prefers a pledge of allegiance to Marx or Lenin.
@12:38 PM Thank you comrade.
imagine being such a petty and shrill little man that you attack Mayor Lumumba practicing his freedom to avoid pledging alegeance to institutional white supremacy
“…one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
2:13 is more than welcome to immigrate to any other country that will take him. Why stay in the US if it is so bad?
Lumbar gotta stick it to the man in front of peeps but he knows who daddy is.
A city mayor's oath of office involves a solemn affirmation to faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of the office to the best of their ability, supporting the Constitution of the United States and state laws, and upholding local ordinances. This oath is to ensure that they will act in the best interest of the city and its residents. Um...it doesn't work with this guy.
no self-respecting maxist would say the pledge
Did chok walk out of the room when the feds showed up to bail out the non-functioning jackson water system?
He didn't mind taking whitey's money.
If Lumumba was an honorable man, he would declare his intentions instead of ducking, and dodging.
So, do you naysayers believe me now about his upbringing and their steadfast belief in the Republic of New Afrika? This man should never hold a public office in the United States.
Where is LIKE button? No shit.....LEAVE.
