Are you a hog or a sheep? The sheep heeds the shepherd who in turn protects the sheep. The hog, well, it can fall in the mud and wallow in the filth because that "is his nature." Not so for the sheep. If it falls into the mud, it quickly gets out and cleans itself up "because this is his nature" as well. The late Dr. Frank Pollard explained the difference between sheep and swine in the 1997 sermon posted below as he preached from John 10: 27-30. The sermon and scripture are posted below.
Scripture: John 10: 27-30
(NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
(KJV) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
