Comelia Walker isn't going away quietly after losing the Canton Mayor's race to Ealdorman Tim Taylor last week. Ms. Walker notified Mr. Taylor she will conduct a ballot examination Friday as she alleged voters were disenfranchised.
Walker alleged 3,000 citizens in newly-annexed areas were not allowed to vote. However, Madison County Circuit Judge Dewey Arthur ruled before the election those citizens could vote by affidavit ballot. Walker lost to Taylor by a grand total of 43 votes.

43 votes yeah i would ask for another count nothing wrong with it
She wants in on the gravy train.
Sure the Blackmon and Blackmon group is pushing her hard on this. They want to sink their dirty hands back into our coffers. She did have a point, the run offs were a dismal showing.
Stuff like this is why there is so few people voting.
Fishing expedition.
Will the cemetery ballots be disallowed?
no way. there are franchises all over canton
I hope the recount finds even more votes for Taylor and widens his victory margin. Canton does not need Comelia Blackmon as its next mayor.
What could be learned by canvassing the votes? There are no names on the ballots so there is no way to know if someone voted for or against her. I'm sure the registration roll can do so, but if the numbers don't match, can she sue for a revote?
Amen.
Madison County rocks!
She will be crying racism…but wait…against who?
This town TRULY needs the change that Mr. Taylor will bring.
It's a recount in a close race. Negativity for the sake of being negative is tiresome.
One of them Blackmon sons is going to run in 4 years if Taylor win the office.
"One of them Blackmon sons is going to run in 4 years if Taylor win the office." Appears Lawrence may be the one.
The candidate that was involved at state testing scandal at Nichols Middle School is claiming voter fraud. How ironic. Keep up the fight Barbara! Overcharge the city for millions again for your lackluster legal services by any means necessary!!
Low hanging fruit. Always the most profitable for the Blackmons to pick.
