A Jackson Municipal Court Judge set bond at $2 million for accused rapist Xavier Yarbrough today.
JPD arrested Yarbrough on March 3 and charged him with two counts of statutory rape. JPD detectives testified at Yarbrough's initial appearance this morning that the defendant allegedly drugged and raped two JSU students while he was a student at the university. The detectives said they expect to charge Yarbrough for allegedly raping four more victims.
There is an active arrest warrant for Yarbrough in Atlanta as well. Judge Jeff Reynolds set bond at $1 million for each charge and barred the defendant from the JSU campus.

Wow, the judge barred him from the JSU campus. That is a get tough judge. Did he bar him from raping?
Sad when college girls have to learn the hard way that "gettin' high" can be a dangerous thing. This guy was obviously pushing the envelope.
4:52 - Have you considered the fact that he drugged them without their knowledge?
I am confused. How many students under the age of 16 (statutory rape) go to JSU? Someone has the charge wrong in these cases.
This is a sick young animal
@6:31 PM - That is the more likely scenario, i.e. a "date rape" drug mixed in a drink.
Watch how quick the Bond drop once it makes it over to the county side
Is this guy a 1st cousin of the singer Rick James?!?
This dude’s a super freak.
Blessings in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
Nice bond. Too bad one of Hinds County’s finest circuit court judges will reduce it to $25,000.
Would this not remain state charges since the campus is a state institution?
If the rape was after being drugged, not matter what age, it's statutory rape.

(a) Every person who shall have forcible sexual intercourse with any person, or who shall have sexual intercourse not constituting forcible sexual intercourse or statutory rape with any person without that person’s consent by administering to such person any substance or liquid which shall produce such stupor or such imbecility of mind or weakness of body as to prevent effectual resistance, upon conviction, shall be imprisoned for life in the State Penitentiary if the jury by its verdict so prescribes; and in cases where the jury fails to fix the penalty at life imprisonment, the court shall fix the penalty at imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for any term as the court, in its discretion, may determine.
Wonder if these two files makes it's way to the DA.

Next thing you know, he'll have to register as a Sex Offender.
@ 1:32 No, it occurred within the city limits of Jackson. Therefore it falls within their jurisdiction. I'm not sure if JSU campus police goes through Jackson municipal court or Hinds County justice court, but it sounds like JPD handled this one. However, IF the Capitol PD had their own judicial district, that would be interesting if they handled it since they cover JSU's campus.
