Heroism in Nashville

Nashville Police released a video of police officers taking down a trans terrorists who massacred three children and three adults at a Christian school yesterday.  The video is posted below.  Shoutout to the cops who did what the Uvalde cowards didn't do.  Good job, guys.

Tremendous job gentlemen, that is how it's supposed to be done.

Thank God for those heroic police.

Good fucking job.

That ain't the way we do it back in Uvalde.

When the Left/Democrats/BLM say defund the police send them this video. The blue line is the only thing that keeps us from chaos and danger. Look at Portland, Washington & Jackson, MS to see dysfunctional cities.
Highest praise for the Nashville Police!!!!!!

America has an incel problem more than a gun problem.
This creature was an outcast who returned to the place they were first treated like an outcast.

Not only Uvalde but remember "the coward of Broward?"

12:44 is right. The increasing number of angry, useless incel's is more worrisome to me than automatic rifles.

God bless these men and their bravery.

The pronoun brigade could never.

12:44; there are many outcasts. Most of them don't kill innocent children. Being an outcast is no excuse.

If you really want to back “The Blue” you would support reasonable gun laws! Nobody wants to take away your Pistol or your hunting rifle Bubba! Ask any Police Chief or Sheriff he would tell you that’s what would really help to keep them safe! Just Ask the ones right here in Mississippi, some will dodge the question for political reasons, but most would agree banning semi automatic rifles is where we start.

Job damn well done...

Agreed 1:56! Time for reasonable and cooler heads to prevail on the subject. I am not a liberal, but I am a person that knows that enough is enough. There are mass shootings nearly every day in this country!

1:56 I don't disagree. I have never opposed sensible gun laws in the past.
But there are no longer sensible leaders in place. So pardon me and my mistrust of the team that brought us Fauci, Hillary or Trump for that matter.
Laws don't prevent criminals from doing anything.
We have seen governmental proclivities to weaponize the IRS an FBI etc.
Why would I trust them to not use gun laws against decent citizens and constitutional infringement?
Why are inanimate objects held to a higher level of blame that the mentally ill people using them?

They brought this distrust on themselves.

I've never been LEO & didn't do military service, but that looked nice and tight to me. Dudes did their job not knowing what they were going to face, cleared rooms as they went, and kept advancing. That looks to be some exceptional police work to me. Good job, Nashville PD!

You can call 1:56 anything you want but none of you would like what your most conservative peace officers would say and you’re afraid to ask! Just as he said they aren’t talking about and bands on personal protection on hunting . The guns we are finding on the street these days to commit most crimes are neither.

Anonymous said...

1:56…how about we just enforce the existing laws? Your presumption of “most would agree” is totally inaccurate.

Anonymous said...

It never should have happened. That was a gun free zone.

Anonymous said...

1:56PM, why would you think more laws would stop anything. Do you realize the president of this country has a child that has broken several gun laws? If the son of the president of the U.S. and the president, himself, do not obey the gun laws why would you expect anyone else to obey them?

ok. Take all the guns away today. Shut down all dealers. Make it a crime to possess a firearm. What part of that stops the criminal? Swift punishment is the only deterrent. We coddle criminals. Say what you will about other societies but those with swift justice keep the criminals on the run

The funny thing about "banning" assault style weapons is, how do you go about implementing said ban? Go house to house and have government agents search every house? Have a day where everyone "voluntarily" brings their guns to the government for disposal?

No politician in their right mind would go for that.

Now, to the real problem. Mental illness is rampant in this country and so many people go untreated for their conditions. Sure, things have gotten better in the treatment of mental illnesses but we have a long way to go. However, we as a society do ourselves no favors when we use Facebook, Tiktok, et.al. for the majority of our daily interaction with other humans. This is a copy cat of every other mass shooting because I truly believe it would only take someone with a pure evil bent (see Columbine) to do this type of thing.

May God help us all.

@3:26 I dare you ask you local county sheriff straight up, no what ifs. The existing laws don’t do enough!
He doesn’t want to take your gun, but he sure would like to keep them out of criminals and wackos hands.
The LEO did their job, but the fact is 6 innocent lives were lost. These guys aren’t proud hero’s . They are sad victims of the trauma they witnessed. Talk to a cop who has had to kill in the line of duty. Some can’t even return to work.

Anonymous said...

The only flaw I saw in the JPD's response to the whole episode was:

1) The shooter messaged a friend she was going to "do something" dramatic, that day.

2) When the recipient saw the mail/text she immediately called 911 and they told her IT WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY and she should call the routine policenumber.

3) That number put her on hold for about 14 minutes.

4) Once she got through they started their response, which happened rapidly and smoothly.

Imagine what could have been prevented if they had listened to her when she first called.

My daughter got married in that church 3 years ago. It was eerie to see the pew we sat in then with grieving friends and relatives in front of it yesterday.

I will meet the libtards halfway. I will support these so-called stricter “universal background checks” if they will repeal the NFA or at least open the machine gun registry to newly manufactured full autos. Yep, I will support the gun control becoming exactly like the NFA process, if it means we can all buy cheap full autos.

Right now the NFA means only rich people can buy machine guns because no new transferable machine guns can be registered. So we are left paying $50k or more for the existing supply of pre-1986 weapons. That means only rich people can afford machine guns. And they certainly have them too!

I want a legal machine gun! The criminals already have modified illegal machine guns!

More dead school kids. Their sacrifice should be celebrated by all the gun folks. These are the people that paid the ultimate price for your hobby. Next time you go shooting, take a moment to think of the price they paid and make sure your enjoyment of the sport is worth the sacrifice of those lives.

There’s a few options that could slow down the flood of school shootings.

1. Place metal detectors and body scanners at the entrance of every school. Require every person who enters to be scanned or have their body searched just like in airports. This would need to be manned 24/7 to prevent after hours staff and students in extracurricular activities from bringing guns onto the property. This would also require large fencing similar to prisons to be placed around schools to prevent contraband from entering other ways.

2. Ban schools

3. Ban guns

That seems like the 3 options, let me know if there’s any other ideas that could actually stop school kids from getting murdered so frequently.

If anyone had a better option, share What you think.

Only a really insecure man would want his gun to have more rights than his wife and daughter.

Anonymous said...

These men were successful because they had a bold leader, were all brave themselves and tactically adroit. As a team they advanced quickly yet methodically, and when they came upon the shooter moved on her without hesitation and quickly killed her. Damn good work all around.

Anonymous said...

Only an idiot would think an inanimate object has rights.

According to Nashville police, the Christian school wasn't the first choice of the mentally ill murderer. According to the shooter's own writings, her first choice had “too much security”.

It would probably be safe to say that “too much security” involved people with guns.

Anonymous said...

"most would agree banning semi automatic rifles is where we start"

How about we start with enforcing the laws we currently have? If that proves insufficient, we can add some more, once we actually know where the shortfalls are.

If the mentally ill are a problem, then we could require some type of medical certificate for a first-time buyer. If it's active substance abuse, which can mimic/induce mental illness, then maybe a clean urine screen from a clinic.

BUT, when repeat violent offenders are routinely released back into society, meth peddlers go home on their own recognizance, warrants don't get served, probation/parole violations mean nothing, and felons-in-possession are considered normal, then we really don't know where the holes in the dam are, do we?

BTW, any hunting rifle that doesn't require manual manipulation of the action to load the next cartridge is, by definition, a "semi-automatic rifle."

5:32: We could allow teachers to actually discipline children. The real problem child could be removed from the classroom, instead of repeatedly sent back by an administrator who thinks she's a social engineer. Kick the problem parents off the school property as well.

Analyze all school shootings over the past twenty five years, beginning with Pearl, MS.

Find the common denominator. It's guns, right? Wrong. It's mental illness.

Would any of these events have happened if there were no guns on the planet. Yes. All of them.

A mentally ill person intent on destroying his/her imaginary demons will find a hammer, sword, automobile, sharp stick, explosive device or cleaver.

Another common denominator, if I may - Unprotected, unsecured, unguarded buildings typically full of defenseless young people and women.

Anyone who values guns over children is rotten to the point of being past rational discussion. We have to quit worrying about how those assholes feel and just do the right and sensible thing.

You really, REALLY need to work on your reading comprehension. The Nashville mass shooter was born a female named Audrey Hale. The media and everyone who keeps calling her Audrey, and referring to her as a female, are being completely accurate.

Anonymous said...

@5:46 - so why are we the only country that experiences this phenomenon repeatedly? Is mental illnesses exclusive to our country? Also, why are all the unprotected building with children in other countries not routinely shot up? Your argument is asinine.

Anonymous said...

Australia showed us that banning guns after a mass shooting works. It apparently solved all the mental health issues in the country since that is the cause of all these shootings. It’s amazing how quickly banning guns managed to instantly fix all their mental health issues overnight. Maybe we should learn from that lesson for the sake of mental health. It’s pretty clear that all these snowflakes who cherish guns over the lives of school kids have some pretty twisted thoughts and maybe banning guns would fix them overnight here as well.

The answer to the problem is not less guns, it is more guns. There are a lot of crazy people running around out there. Just look at the number of mass shootings. We need something to protect ourselves. If you will notice all of the mass shootings are around people who do not have guns. We, the people, should have a way to shoot back at these people. At least give us an equal chance. All of the mass shootings have been stopped by people with guns. Just think how many shootings could have been prevented if there was someone there with a gun to stop the crazy people before they get a chance to shoot more people.

Anonymous said...

In response to 10:22, et. al.:

"Guns are the problem" and "guns are the solution" are two perspectives from the same viewpoint. Both are narrow and could have been written by the same person, depending on which side of the bed she he or she woke up on.

Focusing on firearms is a convenient way to avoid looking at the root causes of homicide. It also ignores the need to remove homicidal maniacs from society.

As much as some people want to do away with incarceration, the fact remains that homicidal maniacs have no place in civilized society. They must be treated in some way early to prevent them from becoming homicidal, or locked up when they become homicidal, if we are going to actually make a dent in this problem.

FWIW, it has been proven that juvenile illiteracy has a direct correlation to juvenile delinquency. Teaching kids to read would be a good start.

Anonymous said...

@8:56 - I'll be happy to provide a 5 whys analysis for you.

Problem: American school children are being murdered in school

Why? Mentally ill lunatics have easy access to murder weapons in the USA
Why? Republican voters value guns over children's lives
Why? They were brainwashed by politicians
Why? To advance the politicians power and influence
Why? To make them money

Go ahead and show yours.

Anonymous said...

@10:22 - Not all of the mass shooting have been stopped by police with guns. Many have been disarmed by victims ganging up on the assailant and physically removing the gun. Once the gun is removed the threat is over even though the mental illness is not cured. It's funny how that works, once the gun is gone so is the mass murder rampage.

Anonymous said...

Universal background checks for all gun purchases seems like a no-brainer.

Red flag laws that require medical and judicial systems to report incidents that should prevent gun ownership also seems like a no-brainer

Requiring guns to be registered to the user seems like a no-brainer.

Most gun owners I personally know are all for some sensible safeguards as they realize that as the school children's bodies continue to pile up, there will only be more drastic measures taken. At some point, this has got to be addressed with some common sense.

Europe is mostly a gun-free zone. Why don't they have these mass murders? According to many here, they should have way more mass murders since there are less guns to stop them and yet that doesn't match up with the reality.

Anonymous said...

@12:12 - According to every source I’ve seen, it’s guns. Go ahead and post your source. Surely you didn’t just make up a lie to advance your false narrative.

Anonymous said...

Any organization responsible for looking after children that does not have a security plan with armed guards is irresponsible. In small settings, finances may dictate that the armed guards are people already employed.

Due to the decay and unraveling of our once mostly civilized country, the only answer to evil is to stop it with greater force. That means armed people with guns. Anyone who doesn’t believe that is brainwashed, not very bright, or both.

The arguments of the “assault weapon” would-be banners can be countered with one simple fact- before AR-15s and other “assault weapons” became prevalent, there were plenty of semi automatic weapons around. Any of these type of mass killings could be perpetrated with a surplus M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, Browning Auto-5, Remington 1100 or 870, or a multitude of other weapons. Even a lever action Henry from the 19th century and maybe a spare cap and ball revolver or two would do the job. Before recent modern times, the culture was more stable and moral. People just didn’t generally do things like this.

The answer is indeed more guns. Decent people out number the evil and crazy ones. What we need to change is the percentage of decent people who are armed. It won’t fix the culture and make the crazies and evil people quit doing crazy and evil things, but we can kill enough of them to maybe slow the rest down and make them think twice about trying such things.

As is usually the case, the answer to the problem is not a solution from the government. It’s on us.

Anonymous said...

@11:37 - so why are other countries that have similar rates of mental illness and illiteracy not seeing the same issues we are? Do you think a rampant gun culture is positive for this country’s citizens or a detriment.

Anonymous said...

We’ve already tried introducing more guns into society and yet the gun violence rate keeps going up. Why aren’t more guns helping? How many guns will have to be added before it starts trending in the right direction.

Gun arguments are boring
The most horrific mass shootings with the highest body counts have been were in Norway and New Zealand (Anders Breivik and Brentan Tarrant)

They’ve also had that insane truck massacre in Europe.

Japan had a mass murderer who used knives and gasoline to slaughter an entire building of employees at Kyoto Animation.
And don’t forget that Shinzo Abe was assassinated in Japan with a home made black powder shotgun in Japan. You can’t even buy an air rifle in Japan!

We tried adding armed guards to schools, turns out they don’t want to get shot dead and cower.

We tried banning books.

We tried banning drag shows.

We tried loosening carry laws.

We tried adding more guns to the population.

We’ve tried everything except the obvious solution because that would make some snowflakes lose their emotional support guns. Screw the snowflakes, we have to start putting some sensible gun laws into action and slow down this monsoon of violence that is growing larger everyday. It’s a sickness that has to be cut out.

The United States has a per-capita homicide rate of about 8 per 100,000. Mississippi has about 21 per 100K. Jackson has about 90 per 100,000.

If the root cause is firearms, then the number guns should correlate to the homicide rate. I find it hard to believe Jackson has more than 10 times the number of guns per person that the rest of the country.

On the other hand, Jackson has a terrible public school system, which graduates children who can't read or write, a broken criminal justice system, an understaffed police department, and a severely under-resourced mental health system.

So tell me again where we should start?

According to many here, the solution to all our problems is to introduce more of the problem into the situation and it will clean itself up.

So the answer to opioid crisis must be to make heroine widely available.

The answer to the illegal immigration answer is to open the borders.

The answer to the obesity problem is more fast food options.

The answer to the national deficit is to ramp up our spending and borrow more.

The answer to healthcare prices is to charge more for insurance, surgeries, and pharmaceuticals.

The answer to the PERS funding is to provide more benefits to retirees.

The answer to Jackson’s problems are more people who think like Lumamba.

The answer to Jackson’s water problems are more leaks and less billing.

It seems a lot of you have never heard the saying you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

To 10:45, et. al.: I like to shoot guns and consider myself pretty liberal on most social issues. I would join the NRA, but I don't want to give a single dime to Wayne LaPierre, who seems to treat the organization like his alter ego.

One of the reasons I shoot my rifles is to hone my shooting skills to cleanly take deer, plus the shooting skills transfer to shotguns, which helps hunting waterfowl. Some of the reasons I like hunting are the fellowship of friends I don't otherwise get to see much, it gets me outdoors to see the sun rise, and I otherwise tend to get depressed in the winter without outdoor activities. Plus, my family and I like to eat wild game.

I also enjoy minor gunsmithing because I like to build stuff and its a challenge of precision to get a firearm functioning at its peak potential.

I support background checks and red flag laws. I also believe focusing solely on firearms misses the real problems. I think the current national dialogue on gun control oversimplifies complex issues (it's reductive), and is attractive because it gives the illusion of a solution with the stroke of a pen, and will actually accomplish nothing of substance except unintended consequences.

I'm sure personal attacks are the way to win people over to your side. But, you're not trying to convert people to your position.

Your self-esteem is such that you have to denigrate others to feel some form of self-worth. Bless your heart.

We live in a dangerous world, among the most dangerous predators on the planet. That predator is the human species. The history of that species shows a predilection to do evil, mostly by violent actions.

Only a naive, child like, person doesn't recognize the danger of their fellow predators, which your post does imply. This naïveté seems to be rampant in our current society. A pandemic of arrested development.

There are others that recognize the dangers of the world, and appreciate the effective self-defense provided by firearms. These people will never willingly give up their firearms, knowing the violent tendencies of their fellow humans.

The answer to end the school shootings is simple, have armed personnel patrol every school area. These schools hold the key to the future of the human race, our children, and should be guarded accordingly.

As long as there are humans, there will be a need for self-defense. The most effective weapon for self-defense is a firearm. The old saying is that GOD made man, and woman, Sam Colt made them equal. GOD bless Sam Colt.

@1:11 - the pot calling the kettle black. You start by claiming personal attacks are bad form and then proceed by personally attacking the poster for having low self esteem, being child-like, and naive.

Bless your hypocritical little heart.

@11:23 - and as a sensible gun owner, you seem willing to have common sense gun control like red flag laws and background checks. Why is that such an impossibility to pass even though the vast majority of people support them?

I agree that the cat is out of the bag with hundreds of millions of guns flooding our streets. Gun control won’t fix our issues overnight, but if we had taken some measures 20 years ago, we’d be much better off today than we currently are. If we take sensible measures today, we will be better off 20 years from now than we would be if nothing is done.

At some point, the reasonable minds have to realize having mass murders every day is not a reasonable outcome and do something about it. Turning schools into armed prison camps isn’t the solution.

“You start by claiming personal attacks are bad form”, see neighbor, I didn't mention anything about form, I was addressing winning people over to their side. That poster had no intention of changing minds, or changing sides. Maybe you have a reading comprehension problem.

That poster has been making a career of posting on this board denigrating gun owners, and people in general from Mississippi. People, perhaps even you, with arrested development seldom ever change their position on a topic.

Mature people periodically examine themselves, along with topics that are brought up for discussion, to ascertain the correctness of themselves, and said topics. That's what mature people do.

If you were able to comprehend the rest of my post, I stated very plainly my position on firearms for protection, there's nothing better. I also stated the length of time I would hold this position, as long as there are humans.

There's nothing hypocritical about my post. Bless your heart.

10:18, I agree with you. I really think the gun-kooks are only a small minority. They're just the most vocal. Also, I think there's a fear of opening a floodgate for the kooks on the other side to go way too far.

It can't be good for kids to live 8 hours a day under armed guard. The only answer to your question I can come up with is that Representatives have elections every two years, and we can't seem to pass any type of meaningful campaign finance reform. Plus there's this:

@3:25 - take your own advice, be a mature human, and rethink your opinion instead of this “I also stated the length of time I would hold this position, as long as there are humans.”

Maybe you don’t understand what the definition of hypocritical is, but your post is a great example.

As you probably can’t understand, being a gun owner actually statistically increases your chances of being a victim of gun violence.

Bless your hypocritical little heart

April 3, 2023 at 9:38 AM, come here boo, boo, do you need a hug? Are those mean old gun owners hurting your feelings? Are they saying you don't know the meaning of certain words?

A hypocrite is someone that condemns people for doing the same things they do. You won't find that in my post, or in my life.

I'll take my chances with the firearm, neighbor. A statistic has never hurt anyone, to my knowledge. If you do some day find yourself in a confrontation with a human acting like an animal, you just quote them some statistics, I'm sure they will quickly run away.

As for me, I'm going to follow the golden rule, and double tap.

@5:10 - Yes, the mean old gun owners are hurting my feelings by mass murdering school children. Maybe you should feel something when that happens as any normal human being would. Clearly you are less than human. Maybe instead of needing a room full of guns in your safe space, you could just get a hug. You were able to correctly copy and paste the definition of a hypocrite, the next step is being able to understand it and apply it. You haven’t gotten there yet and you probably never will.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
