Some Mississippi umpires had a rough go of it this weekend. First up is the UNO-MVSU game. Check out the last at-bat in the game.
Then there is the MRA game. Sometimes you wanna just say screw it all. Well, this umpire did.

I always appreciate your “expert sports analysis” KF.
Who did he think he was ?
Organizations, leagues, even unions...need to start blacklisting these umpires who make no effort to 'get it right'. Football is the worst but baseball is approaching fast from behind.
Ump from MVSU game was promptly fired this morning I saw..
The ump was last seen heading to a chartered jet en route to a tropical destination.
Hilarious. Wrong of the ump to do that, but a lot quicker than ejecting the player.
OK, JJ fans. I'm retired and been wanting to take some kind of job that I would enjoy that didn't feel like work. If I get enough votes tonight I promise to become an umpire and make the biggest ass of myself every chance I get. I need someway to identify myself as a JJ fan so y'all know it was me. Any ideas are appreciated.
Players need to play, coaches need to coach, and umpires need to umpire. That would solve ALL of these problems.
It wasn't the player. The coach asked the ump to check with the first base ump to see if the batter tried to bunt, or pulled back.
The ump said he was through.
8:00 pm - we will know you if you call "YESSSSIR" on the strikes and "Ball" on the balls.
Alternatively, on the strikes you can call "Peachy-keen, jellybean."
You cain’t just quit. This is sports. This is organized sports. It’s important. There’s people that live for this. It’s bigger than just you and your stupid six kids.
7:40 - Please rephrase. It's not the six kids who are stupid.
I figured it would have been the belligerent yelling parents that made him leave but it was the coach huh
The sports world would be better if parents and coaches simply cheered and coached their kids, and the kids didn’t react to every single call that doesn’t go their way. Much better. Not that the referees/umpires don’t need some work too, but it would go a long way not to argue every single thing that happens in a couple hour game.
The "Playa" made a broadway production in front of the ump on the previous pitch (2nd strike) that the batter didn't like. The Ump taught the little Karen a lesson. It happens all the time.
Hopefully everyone received a trophy.
Good for the MRA ump. The kid clearly "swung/bunted" at the ball. Given the game was in process, who knows what else took place prior to this.
"Y'all figure it out!"
'What else took place prior to this' should have no bearing on a current call, 11:23.
Figure that out.
(1) It was a terrible call; clearly because the ump was sending a message over the batter's terrible actions following the previous pitch
(2) The ump has been suspended; he should have dealt with the batter's three year old attitutde rather than responded with a crappy call
(3) MVSU (hard to use the "U" - university??, but I digress) had basically already lost this game, but the ump should have let it happen in the proper manner; probably one more pitch that was at least close
(4) MVSU got butt stomped the next day: 35 - 3. Yes that is a baseball score, 35 runs scored.
Thirty five!!! 35 ??? Five touchdowns against a field goal in a baseball score? And no evidence of any ump misconduct.
