Runoff!

Congressman Steven Palazo is going to a runoff and Congressman Michael Guest might be as well.

The incumbent District 4 Congressman only received 32% of the vote while Pascagoula County Sheriff Mike Ezell edged out Clay Wagner  (25%-22%).

The real action is in District 3 where Congressman Michael Guest is in a dogfight.  85% of the votes are counted. Check out the results.

Michael Cassidy (R)21,31247.8%
Michael Guest (R) *20,78446.6%
Thomas Griffin (R)2,4645.5%

Cassidy won or is winning 13 counties while Guest can say the same in 10 counties. Guest only won 54% of an anemic turnout in his home base of Rankin County, only beating Cassidy by 1,343 votes. The former Madison County District Attorney carried Madison County but by only 356 votes at 50.6% of the vote.

The news tonight seemed all about complaints about low turnout. Why? Here is a possibility...

Redistricting. I lived in the Heatherwood subdivision of Jackson until last December, one of the last remaining good parts of the Crapital City. I can remember always voting in the fourth or third Congressional district and thanking my stars I did not have to vote for do-nothing Bennie T. Now I am glad I moved to Ridgeland because redistricting took that neighborhood in NE Jackson into Bennie T's district. If people want to know why voting was so light this June why don't you ask those stuck in this part of Jackistan?

Great to see Guest heading for a runoff! Need to get him beat then go after Wicker! Can’t believe Wicker went to Davos. Something has got to be did about RINOs or globalists or whatever you want to call them!

Anonymous said...

Incumbent republicans that don't vote conservative should be shown the door. As is happening tonight. ALTHOUGH, in a runoff, I like Guest's chances. Will be super low turnout and old Haley will pull Guest across the finish line in the runoff. Whatever the outcome, a clear message should be sent that their constituents are watching their votes in DC

These are votes against Guest not for Cassidy

Anonymous said...

Very true, Wicker and Guest are RINOs. Go Cassidy, Go Navy!

Anonymous said...

Guest's first call will be to Pete Perry. 2014 all over again.

Anonymous said...

Not surprised to see Brice Wiggins do poorly. Empty suit.

Cassidy is an America first candidate! He also has the support of mpvr-ms patriots for vaccine rights! Guest has never done anything for us while in DC!

Anonymous said...

Wicker and Guest are anti-Trump. Gotta go!

Anonymous said...

10:37, that's an interesting personal view, but moving that one precinct of NE Jackson moved less than three thousand people with an average voter turnout of 800 from CD3 to CD2 --- which in a district with 700,000 people can hardly be the cause of the low voter turnout.

But as a function of redistricting, what part of Jackson would you consider to better move from 3 to 2? Downtown went with the St Phillips precinct; half of Northpoint precinct was already in 2 - so where would you suggest they get those bodies?

I see the MAGA crowd is highly engaged, as usual.

Anonymous said...

Wicker and Guest are anti-Trump? Who cares? I hear Guest is a great guy and all but does his voting record represent you? Planned Parenthood funding aside, the guy voted YES to establish the 1/6 commission...tune in this Thursday prime time to see the result of your vote by proxy.

Guess and Wicker are both bought and paid for by the left! Wake up Mississippi!

The MAGA-TEA party votes. I don’t like the group. I believe they are cutting off our noses to spite our face. Nevertheless, nobody can say that they don’t vote. They don’t win. They take victories from winners. But they damn sure vote

Guest will win a runoff easily. But No Show Palazzo is in big trouble. Sheriff Ezell is well known and well liked.

Guest can go back to running his collections agency. We need real patriotic Americans in Washington DC to fight the demonic left and the globalist cabals! Rand Paul was the only one who opposed sending $50 billion to Ukraine to be money laundered returned to Congress via their children and relatives like what Papa Joe dis with Hunter Biden.

Anonymous said...

I voted for Cassidy because of Guest Vote FOR THE 40++++ Billion, that's Billion++++ being sent to Ukraine
Go Cassidy & watch for ### to fly in the run off!!!

There is a Trump rally in Southaven June 18, if Cassidy and Ezell are on stage with President Trump that night , it’s over for Guest and Pallazo. Wicker won’t be anywhere close to Southaven that day, probably still be Davos with the “it” crowd, talking about the little people back in the U.S., glad the voting class is watching what is going on in DC, makem accountable!!!!!

@10:37
Are you on crack? I live in heatherwood and I voted for Michael guest. Bennie Thompson doesn’t represent this district!!! NE Jackson provides most of the fund raisers for Guest.

Cassidy is a wolf in sheeps clothes. Guy is from Maryland. Registered to vote in MS in September. Runs a smear campaign against the incumbent. Color me skeptical.

Anonymous said...

CARPETBAGGER CASSIDY sold some snake oil! Guest is a nice guy but this may be the end.

People need to quit believing Trump is the second coming of Christ. I voted for him, enjoyed the country under his leadership, and I am still a Republican. However, thinking every candidate going forward has to have his blessing or do 110% of what he wishes is crazy talk. That guy has some of you brainwashed.

Anonymous said...

Too bad people didn’t vote for James Tulp when he ran against RINO Guest. Well, we know Guest’s voting record better this time!

Cassidy will win runoff now that people see defeating Guest is a real possibility. Not too common that a Republican incumbent loses. I suspect Trump may even make a visit? or a campaign add? I think this will motivate the anti-RINO crowd more than the RINO crowd. Guest will just move on to being a lobbyist.

Matthew 7:16-20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I agree that Tulp's loss to Guest was a disappointment.
He was a good writer for JJ. His writing was clear, cogent, and reasoned. In other words, Tulp's columns were nothing like Salter's or Crawford's.

Donald Trump can’t even win in a poll against DeSantis…. GTFO… and Cassidy is a liberal educated, northern carpet bagging, Harvard boy who probably doesn’t even know what cities are in his district

You are showing your true colors. Nobody except CNN sheeple thinks the people who support Trump believe that he is the second coming. Trump merely represents opposition to the establishment DC globalist controlled swamp. I am a constitutionalist first. Republicans are all basically Democrats who pretend to be down home christians when they leave DC. But return to being Democrats when they step off the plane at Dulles or Reagan International Airport.

Anonymous said...

I will vote for and support Cassidy if he does not suck up to Trump to win this election. The last thing this country needs is more Trump zombies making stupid ass Democrats look almost like reasonable people. Trump's ass does not need to be kissed people!

Anonymous said...

KF, the vote count has been stuck at 89% since 10:30 last night for Cassidy vs Guest. Do you have an update? Are we now like Fulton County or Philadelphia where the vote counts stops while we round up a few thousand new ballots?

Anonymous said...

I am conservative and voted for Trump because he is leaps and bounds better than Hilary and Biden, but I don't worship him or care who he endorses.
That said, I did not vote for Guest and the fact that he seemed insulted that he did not coast into victory is par for the course.

I live in Brandon and enjoy it, but I'm getting real tired of the Rankin Co political machine telling me who I have to vote for.

And I am getting really sick of seeing all these elite county boys posting social media pics of their group in the VIP section of every Amphitheatre concert, club level private rooms at every college sports event, hosting over priced hunting events for their rich pals and sipping Scotch at Ticos while I try to budget for gas and food.

I am sick of these career ass-hats living large and voting as if they forgot who elected them, so I'm all for reminding these incumbents who think they are shoe-in that they work for us.

Anonymous said...

I'm a longtime Rankin County redneck, and I voted against Guest. He's a nice guy, but an empty suit just like his predecessor. He is definitely a RINO and tows the establishment/party line. He's definitely made some questionable votes in his short time in the House. And by the way, I'm not beholden to Trump and will likely not support him in 2024.

Anonymous said...

I was out of town for the primary and didn't get a chance to vote in person. A search of the Hinds County site and SOS site show very little information on the voting rules for a runoff. I know you can't switch parties from primary to runoff but can you vote in the runoff if you didn't vote in the primary?

Anonymous said...

I could be wring, but I think you cannot switch parties in the run off.

If you voted Dem in primary you don't get to participate in Rep run off.

But you can vote in run off even if you did not vote in primary.

Guest is a great guy and a true conservative who hates crime and criminals. This was a pure smear campaign against him so you wide eyed conspiracy tea party idiots could start throwing out the RINO word. Everyone you don’t agree with is automatically on your hit list for misinformation. Calling Wicker and Guest RINOs make you look stupid. You guys need to start a Trump party and get out of the Republican Party. Wicker was the first president of the Republican Elected Officals -REO and has generally been an even minded elected official . I’m sure I would be considered a RINO even though I have been active in the Miss. GOP for over 38 years (that’s back when we met in a phone booth-which I doubt you know nothing about)

@5:53 Heatherwood resident here. When I voted yesterday, I was able to choose to vote in the CD2 OR CD3 GOP primary. I was confused driving up why there were Bennie supporters out front with signs. The poll worker said something about how our precinct was split in the redistricting. Still not sure why I got the opportunity to pick, though.

Looks like Mississippians will pick a guy born in Maryland, raised in Arlington, VA, VCU and Harvard grad who only spent 3 years of his life in MS at Meridian Airfore Base and who moved here to be Trump's pick over a native who had good committee assignments and who might know something about the State's agriculture and needs.
Lordy! Cassidy might never have been to The Broadwater or partied in the Delta or gone to a State or Old Miss game and knew the who the players were.
MAGA first , right? Trump for King!

9:54 AM, your so-called "native" was born in New Jersey and his accent is faker than a three dollar bill. His committee assignments are bunk. He lets Bennie run the show on the Homeland Security committee.

He also voted for the Jan 6 witch hunt committee, which passed without even needing his vote. He is a shill for who knows what. Vote him out!

I read Cassidy's website this morning. I suggest all runoff voters do the same. At first he sounds pretty good but as you dig deeper in to his positions, this guy is crazy. 90% of his platform will never happen. As a freshman congressman he will only be tasked with raising money for the party and will be assigned to meaningless committees. It takes time to establish any power in DC and changing congressmen early in their careers leads to poor results for our state. Congressional term limits could solve this but there is no way congress would ever limit their ability to enrich themselves at the cost of the taxpayer.

For all the sheep here who hate Trump. I voted against Trump in 2016. Is he a narcissist? Absolutely. But show me a President who wasn't an narcissist. I have enough integrity to admit that Trump lowered inflation, grew the economy, made our borders more secure, intimated the despots around the world and made good appointments to the judicial branch.

In other words, I'll gladly read a few mean tweets and pay $1.50 a gallon for gas than have a President who has declared war on the poor and middle class to enforce his green ideology and $4.50 gasoline.

10:03 AM, wrong. Voting in a self-enriching politician for generations has no positive benefit for the state. That's not how it works. If anything, Cassidy is more of an elitist than Guest based on his background and could only bring back more pork barrel spending for MS.

To 1003 and anyone critical of Cassidy, you are missing a large point. Maybe his positions won't pass. Maybe. Guest did this to himself. You cannot be from (supposedly) the most conservative county in the most conservative district of a very conservative state and go to DC and forget who you represent. Guest did little to no campaigning. Frankly, I believe it is because he didn't want to have to answer for his votes on the Jan 6th commission, the budgets, and sending money to Ukraine. What campaign ads I did here/see try to claim he stood up to Democrats. First, he would have to show up. Second, he would have to actually take a stand. Neither of which happen without him first checking to see which way the wind is blowing and whether it is politically advantageous. Cassidy may not be effective. But I know that Guest has been totally feckless and ineffective.

Methinks a lot of "walking around money" is about to hit the hood courtesy of the RNC (assuming they don't come up with enough votes by the end of the week to avoid a runoff). It worked for Thad. I predict twice as many votes will be cast in the runoff as were cast yesterday.

Sadly the RNC will show its colors. Remember the McDaniel-Cochran runoff? Yes, McDaniel is a nut but the RNC/Cochran ran ads on black radio stations saying, "run, don't walk to the polls and vote for Thad Cochran or you will lose your right to vote." Another ad said, "If Chris McDaniel wins blacks will have to ride in the back of the bus." That ad aired on a black radio station in Canton a town which is only 15% white.

Of course, no local news media covered this shameless lying but the "Daily Mail" imbedded the radio spots so people could listen themselves. JJ gave coverage after the fact.

I'd have rather had McDaniel and some integrity than the slime that is the RNC.

Cassidy will get Bork'ed and slandered by the Republican party and Guest will win. I'll still vote for Cassidy.

And anyone with any ties to our military institutions, and a few civilians such as myself, know that you do NOT use something that looks like our AMERICAN FLAG as an article of clothing like the (Cassidy campaign ad) photo of Guest with the American Flag mask-neck gaiter. HE should have known that. The apparent, and I say apparent because who knows if it was photo-shopped or not in this day and age of politics, fact that Guest, as a Congressman didn't know this is pretty sad. Guest didn't fight back effectively in his ads with regard to planned parenthood, I think he underestimated his opponent and thought he could just cruise to a win. You see where that strategy got him.

Yet somehow, Guest thought that his conservative, taxpaying constituents would be ALL ON BOARD to fund EVEN MORE ridiculous partisan witch hunts against his own party --- and voted for the same!!!

Mr. Guest, if you're reading this, step aside. If you're already this out of touch with your constituents, it's only going to get worse. Go ahead and take that cushy lobbyist position while you're still 'somewhat' relevant.

BUT there are a hell of a lot of us 'normal folks' that don't give a damn about kneeling at the throne of your most recent saviour, and bowing down to whatever he may say -- all this s**t about the 2020 election, the insurrection on the Capitol that chased our ----- all our ----- elected officials into bunkers while some (although some of the family members decided not to agree) narcessists tried to overturn our democratic/republican form of government; ain't what we want or desire.

Do I hate that Biden won? Hell yeah. I don't like him, his policies, or his effect on my driving up to a gas pump among other things.

I don't want Biden to be my President. But ---- damn it ---- Trump, the narcessist, lost. And then, claiming it was stolen from him, he tried to steal it back.

You want to support someone that claims 'voter fraud' while at the same time defending January 5th voter fraud in the "find me xxx votes to fix this" shows total ignorance or incompetence.

it is not Haley. It is the folks that want responsible conservative government - even if their campaign advisors are not capable of making that sale.

Hopefully this so-called ME FIRST candidate will be a passing smoke from the sear in the pan.

Hey 11>11 - good for them. They will not bow at the alter of the narcissist populasist that is in it for nothing but himself. Hell, even his daughter and son-in-law, you know those that ran the WH for the past four years, continue to do the same as you. They have minds of their own ------- unlike, obviously, you ------- and dont think that Trump is the end all and be all of everything.

Yes - he was President while a lot of damn good things got done. But, he also thought Putin was a great guy. He also thought that the idiot of North Korea was his best bud. Was he better than the idiot in charge today --- hell yeah, but what does that say about his ability, hell I would be better than that lost idiot.

The question is not about who would be better, but who won or lost. The fact that this person that cannot accept loss continues to clamin his b/s about the election (which even his daughter denies) has nothing to do with reality or even what our county is about. We are a democracy - votes count - and total votes count. Trump lost. Hate it. It happened. Unlike you, evidently, I've seen it several times before. but just because my guy lost, I'm not going to riot, attempt to overthrow government, try to impeach the person that won for no reason than I just agree with him (like the Dems did to Trump - which was wrong but no excuse to say 'they did it so therefore so will I).

Keep on screaming your RINO - but then admit when you decided to embrace that shawl of the R that you want to wear without question. You are the one to decide whether you properly wear the big R, or those that spent decades building a tent whereby you can be a part. Try to kick my ass out and I will kick back. I would rather havve you under the tent, but not if you think you and your opinions are the only ones allowed under the tent. And watch where that carries you --- BTW, the 2012 elections are a good example. Nominate a witch; nominate one that thinks rape is consential, ..... see how that comes out.

Anonymous said...

@12:13 - damn right. As a decades old Republican, and I guess as what some ---- those like Cassiday that claim I am a feckless RINO --- there is a hearing on the 1/6 committee. Do I like the fact that our 'great' congressman Bennie Thompson is running these as a prime time focus for Nancy and her Dems? Hell no.

BUT, do I consider that those folks that Cassiday want to 'free from their political impressoment' for their insurrection a totally abandonment of those principals that I have held for more decades than this idiot has lived as being the foundation that our country is founded upon? Absolutely.. To say that those that broke windows in order to enter into a federal building --- hell, our Nation's Capitol --- to stop the legitimate process of our government as pertains to the peaceful transfer of power --- because why? They don't like the fact that their idol LOST THE F***KING ELECTION. Yes, He lost. I don't like that fact, but because his ego led rather than good politics, he lost just like he won four years earlier.

And -- all the idiots, genuflectors, and other bow-down candidates, want to succumb at the base of his altar - for whatever reason, don't include me.

We have a Republican Party here in Mississippi because of plenty of folks that you want to denote as RINOs. Who the hell are you to define what is the definition? Let's compare fights. Lets compare campaigns. Lets compare contributions. Lets compare anything the hell that you think as appropriate. Just because you genuflect at the base of the throne of the narcessist that ran for President a decade ago from another party (as a pro-choice candidate) but you have no ability to discern the difference, and now today vote for someone that tries to claim the same mantle---- be happy that you can fall into this trap.

For me. I would rather vote for someone that 90% of the time I can agree with. I'm one of those Big Tent folks that you chose to hate because of our 10% difference. Guess I fall under that "my 80% friend is not my 20% enemy" that Ronald Reagan (one of our greatest President) defined ----- and actually built a governing process that worked. And was a process that I --- one of your damn RINOs --- was a member of

Guest was a great DA and is a good man. He has my vote.

It’s sad that so many prominent Rankin County citizens placed all of their support behind Guest. A lot of them are elected officials too and have their own future elections to win. I don’t think their alignment with Guest will hurt them much but I could be wrong. He is a nice guy but he made stupid mistakes because he’s an establishment guy. I still haven’t figured out why he voted for Jan 6 commission. Lots of people I’ve heard are pissed because of that and Omnibus vote. He may pull it out if there’s a runoff. Time will tell. The Pete Perry’s of the world need to take notice. Ask ole “I’m fighting to be relevant” Karl Rove! RINO’s are so easy to spot.

You are in denial, blinded by your own hatred of all things Trump.
I won the low inflation, low food costs, low energy costs, and lower government intrusive regulation. I won with high economic growth, better border security, high number of employed.

I don't like Trump personally, but he was a great president. To argue with the results in silly.

Excuse me, I must leave and fill my gas tank at $4.50 per gallon and then drop by Kroger and spend $150 on three bags of groceries.

The Democrat party is waging war against the poor and working class.

Guest is a GREAT Christian man with morals and values. Married with kids. He his pro-life, pro law enforcement and supports border security. I know him personally and it upsets me that an outsider comes in the state and creates a smear campaign to get elected. I would be interested to see the true reason why Cassidy's wings were stripped. Getting that information from the DOD would probably be impossible. I believe that Michael Guest has to address some of the negative campaign adds so voters know the real Michael Guest.

@9:15
A good start would be answering his constituents questions instead of hiding from his constituents and assuming he wins by default each term.

Guests opponent is a frightening freak. Sucking up to Trump is not a qualification to lead!
Those calling Guest and Wicker RINOs are in a distorted frame of mind. They are TRUE Republicans! It is you and your mentality that do not belong!

LOL at 9:15. Decries smearing an opponent… then smears the opponent. 9:15, if you don’t know for a fact and no one has proof that the wings were stripped, that means it’s probably not true. Posting it as if were can put you at risk of a slander suit.

On the other hand, there is ample evidence of Guest’s sorry voting record.

Kingfish, won't like this rebuttal to this comment - but I am submitting it anyway

"I am conservative and voted for Trump because he is leaps and bounds better than Hilary and Biden, but I don't worship him or care who he endorses.

I am sick of these career ass-hats living large and voting as if they forgot who elected them, so I'm all for reminding these incumbents who think they are shoe-in that they work for us."

Oh Boo-freakin-hoo! You Rankin Tea Billy's are freakin' hilarious and clueless at the same time.

This genius said VERBATIM in their post, "I voted for Trump because he's leaps and bounds better than Hillary and Biden"!? Then in the same damn breath - "sick of seeing all these elite county boys posting social media pics of their group in the VIP section of every Amphitheatre concert, club level private rooms at every college sports event, hosting over priced hunting events for their rich pals"

WTF do you think is Donald Trump!? He is the quintessential elite country club douche, social media pariah, that hung out at Club 42 in the VIP with the Hollywood elites? Then both of his oldest sons go to overpriced hunting events!? All of them went to Prep school tool!?

Biden and Clinton at least attended public school as kids, hell Biden even went to public universities for his undergrad education.

WTF does a redneck in Rankin county have in common with Donald Trump or Michael Cassidy!?

Not a damn thing! Michael Cassidy is a freakin plant by the MAGA Reich!

Michael Guest grew up in Mississippi, attended grammar school here, and attended college in Mississippi, and has made a life here!

10:13 - Michael Guest's growing up in MS is irrelevant. He voted for the 1/6 commission, he voted for some of Biden's spending programs, and he voted to send $40 bill to Ukraine. Many of us want himout, though I suspect Country Club Republicans and blacks will help Guest win the runoff.

I'm starting to wonder if the anti-Cassidy posts were made by pro-Cassidy supporters.

The anti-Cassidy posts are shrill, riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, all the while oozing with hubris.

Cassidy is likely laughing when reading the posts that attack him.

All y’all dems and RINOs who still let Trump live rent free in your minds also know deep down that he was so much better than Biden has turned out to be. I can only imaging how much that burns.

If Trump were to run again against Biden, he would win in such an enormous landslide that no amount of ballot stuffing could stop him.

Dwindling herd of RINOs that Pete Perry tends in Hinds gave Guest his largest % share of any county. Vast majority of statewide precincts that got $$$timulated in the 2014 #MSSEN run-off won't be available to Guest. Can't wait to take down Hosemann next year!

I'd like to clue both of you Establishment shill retards in: The whole reason Trump was elected was because of Establishment hubris. What have Establishment Republicans conserved besides their paycheck? I'm still waiting on an answer. The Second Amendment you say? Well now we have reports that Republicans (your ilk) are bending the knee to gun control[1]. Perhaps it was jobs? Oh wait we had NAFTA and the subsequent liquidation of American jobs for cheap labor. Well, the upside is that someone in Congress finally got a clue and started talking about on-shoring jobs. Too bad it wasn't you fucking morons. It was a Democrat.

Honestly if we had a Nationalist party I'd vote them over Republican. My response to a Republican will be "earn my fucking vote" from now on.

Enquiring mind said...

" The incumbent never debates," so, you're telling me the congressman's record isn't good enough to run on, yes?? I certainly won't try and speak for everyone, but the congressman's record must not reflect the will of his constituents, if he can't defend that record in a debate, yes??

I, also, feel that the congressman is depriving me of an opportunity, by not debating, to compare the two candidates. It, also, as another poster mentioned, gives me the feeling of entitlement, a feeling I despise, by the way. No one is entitled to my vote.

@4:21, that is voting 101.

I just completed reading the manifesto @June 8, 2022 at 10:39 PM. Damn, this poster is definitely proud to be a Reagan republican. I, wonder if he/she/it is aware that his idol, Mr. Reagan, was once, what we would now call, left of center democrat. A proud follower of Franklin Roosevelt.

The true Republican Party died off with the last of the Goldwater supporters. What passes for the Republican Party now is nothing more than the right-wing of the Democratic Socialist Party, which is the only true political party in the U.S.

I know there will be some that will vehemently deny and attack this post, but it will not change the truth.

How could Michael Guest have voted for the January 6 investigation? It was obvious Democrats couldn’t be trusted to be fair. They spent the summer of 2020 legitimizing “mostly peaceful” riots, arson, and murder during the George Floyd riots. It is very difficult to argue that political violence is unacceptable when you have spent so many years accepting it.

Democrats have attempted to delegitimize every presidential election they have lost from 2000 onward. The main organizing idea of Democratic politics from 2016 to 2020 was that the 2016 election was somehow stolen from Hillary Rodham Clinton, who insisted that Donald Trump was an “illegitimate” president.

Congressman Guest. You play with snakes, you get bit. It’s time for us to give someone else the opportunity to stand up to the anti-white male, anti-Christian liberals who you consider friends.

Anonymous said...

Guest voted for the January 6 Commission to conduct what we now realize is another witch hunt investigation. But if a U.S. president tried while in office to disrupt the actions of another branch of government through brute force and the direction of enraged mob violence, is the proper consequence a prime-time congressional hearing where various lawmakers and witnesses denounce him? Or is the proper consequence charging him with a crime?

Meanwhile, we learn today from sources other than the January 6 Commission that Chuck Schumer was warned by the FBI the night before the protests that the protesters might enter the Capitol but he did nothing to relay this information to the Capitol police. If Mitch McConnell had been the majority leader and done that, do you think the January 6 Commission might have been interested?

Michael Guest supports crooked cops that commit felony perjury in the court of law. The Ridgeland Police Officer Daniel Soto is where I am going with this. Research that officer further and you’ll find another story on where he had a state investigation on him for the same bs in Tennessee, but hey Michael Guest was so tough on crime right?! Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
