Some people just can't allow others to have a good time. You know the type - always angry, always miserable. One of the unexpected treasures of the World Cup has been watching a German tourist named Freddy documenting his travels across America on X.
It's been rather fun seeing America through the eyes of an outsider as Freddy experienced Buc-ee's, stopped in Mississippi, dined in New Orleans, and was invited backstage to an Ella Langley concert. Chef Ramsey feted him at one of his restaurants. Instead of taking interstate, he traveled on state highways up north so he could see small towns, the real America. Unfortunately for Freddy, he got too popular as he was invited to the White House and you can just imagine what happened next.
Pitiful. Social media is going to be the ruin of us yet. Scumbags.

Social media is a direct reflection of the cowardice that lies within society. People say shitty things to others from behind the protection of their pocket-glass and don't have to deal with the reaction that it causes. The fact is, 99% of these things would not be said if people had no other way to do it other than to say it to people's faces directly. Human beings are dogshit. This blog would not contain the hate that it does if the posts weren't anonymous.
Social media has become toxic. I deleted my accounts a while back, and I’m glad I did. Only after I deleted them did I realize how horrible it has become.
Many of those very people you speak of frequently find something wrong with pretty much everything JJ posts on this blog. Curmudgeons.
Anonymity is a status symbol....such as the anonymity of those who rule over us, and that can very much crush the little guy/girl today who has no power.

Ahhh the anonymous cowards (posters) strike again. It is a shame because people genuinely feel good about what he was documenting. America is a beautiful place... albeit from perfect, but beautiful none the less.
