Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey issued the following statement.
On Friday, June 5, 2026, just after 6:00 p.m., the Rankin County Sheriff's Office received a report of a gunshot victim in front of a residence located in the 100 block of Adams Road in northern Rankin County.
The caller reported that a disturbance on Adams Road had escalated into gunfire, resulting in one individual being shot multiple times.
Rankin County deputies responded to the scene and located the 27-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Pafford EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of medical personnel.
Witnesses reported seeing a small gray passenger car leaving the scene with multiple occupants.
Deputies immediately began processing the crime scene, conducting interviews, and developing information regarding potential suspects.
Within hours of the homicide, investigators identified and arrested Ladarious HARRISON and Dominick SANABRIA, charging both with Murder. Deputies also arrested Semiko CRUMP and Kaylee TRIMBLE, charging them with Accessory After the Fact of Murder.

This investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional arrests are possible as investigators continue to identify individuals who may have assisted the suspects following the crime.
One firearm has been recovered as part of the investigation.
The defendants will appear before County Court Judge David Morrow for their initial appearances.
Sheriff Bryan Bailey praised the swift actions of deputies and investigators, whose efforts led to the rapid identification and arrest of the suspects. Sheriff Bailey also wants to reassure citizens that this appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no known ongoing threat to the community.
"Violence has no place in our community. This senseless act has left a family grieving and a community searching for answers. We remain committed to pursuing justice for the victim, holding those responsible fully accountable, and continuing our mission of keeping Rankin County a safe place to live, work, and raise a family."
The victim has been identified as Idarrious Iantron BOWIE, a 27-year-old male from Lena, Mississippi. Information provided to investigators indicates that BOWIE was a graduate of Morton High School and played collegiate football at Ole Miss and Jackson State University.

on or about July 16, 2025, in the county aforesaid and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did design and endeavor to commit the offense of First Degree Murder by pointing a gun at Juan Carlos Garrett, Jr. and shooting him, though failing to kill Juan Carlos Garrett, Jr., in violation of Miss. Code Ann.§ 97-1-7 (1972, as amended) being against the peace and dignity of the State of Mississippi.
Harrison is scheduled to go to trial in September. A real tough guy. The case is assigned to Rankin County Circuit Judge Brad Mills.
The victim played football at Ole Miss and Jackson State University.
