This is a damn good idea. Not sure how well they will all be attended with the advent of streaming and such but I like the premise of big screening "classics".
Wish they would bring back the Wizard of Oz as well. I have multiple family members that would love that. We did see Gone with the Wind a few years back when it was out on the big screen in Madison. Glad this is being done.
Until Hollyweird starts making movies worth your time and money theaters will have to resort to showing old movies that are.
Just think, if Hollywood would just make films people want to see, there would be more people invest in the theaters.
Sounds like an offer I cant refuse
Does the Malco theater have a bar? Asking for a friend.
We saw The Sound of Music at Malco 2 or 3 months ago. The place was packed.
Nope. Malco Renaissance does but not Grandview. Fortunately, the liquor stores sell those mini bottles.
I'm much better behaved at the picture show now than I was 70 years ago. But instead of my mother packing me a little brown bag of popcorn, I now take a couple of those little 'airplane bottles' of Jack. A diet coke and a large tub of buttered popcorn. I don't bother anybody and it sure does add to the experience.
I take both empties with me. It would be wholly disrespectful if I were to toss them on the floor.
I would assume if you were going to see Secretary, you could find all kinds of Madison County cougars there.
Sorry, just stating the facts.
I would happily pay over $100 to see all of the Star Trek motion pictures on the big screen. Especially II and III.
