Thalia Mara Hall's Interim Manager Judson Vance is quite the metalhead as well as an accomplished pianist. Boasting, nearly 50,000 subscribers on his Youtube channel, Great Measures, Vance dissects metal songs on what else but that lovely Steinway piano at Thalia Mara Hall.
Most videos follow the same formula. Vance introduces a metal song along with a guest. They proceed to listen to the song, then Vance dissects the song on the piano, similar to The Charismatic Voice on Youtube. If you like metal, check out the channel or some of his videos posted below.
Well, since he is playing some Ghost, just can't resist including this video.
Perhaps he will try out some Poppy on a future video.

Aren't they being exposed to black mold and asbestos dust?
No thanks. I prefer a joyful noise that glorifies Jesus. You keep walking the path of pedophiles and sodomites and see where it gets you!
pop metal - I never thought I'd see the day . . . Time to get back to basics:

You may want to get your facts straight. Richard is the metalhead and is playing metal songs that Judson has never heard. He is not a "guest" as Richard basically hosts the show, and they are both in every video.
@3:01 PM What exactly do pedophiles have to do with heavy metal? You have probably never even listened to one.
If they are complying with YouTube's monetization policies, with that # of subscribers, this lad is making good money at our dusty theater. As a city employee, using Thalia Mara Hall and its Steinway, monetizing off of the theater is considered illegal. Is anyone in the administration aware that they have been doing this for well over a year? Whichever one is the "manager" who cares!! Just more ignorance from the previous crooks. Maybe someone should make his Director aware? or @JohnHorhn
They left the Steinway in the theater to be covered in mold and asbestos?
Is that illegal?
Chokwe is getting his cut of that YouTube money. Bet.
@5:46 I know of at least 2 other art groups here in downtown that offered to store the Steinway in a safe place while they were addressing the mold/asbestos issues. That would explain why Mr. Vance never let us move the piano. We begged and pleaded with him to let us help save the piano from further damage. Our symphony used it more than anyone. The manager was using it for personal gain MONEY!!! I hope he did not let it ruin like everything else in there. All of our local art groups need to come together and have a professional inspect our piano. Many memories made there over the years!!!!!
I don't know what a METALHEAD is, but watching this guy, I thought of TOMHEAD.
Library books ruined. Expensive piano ruined. Boarded up city buildings. Can you imagine what the inside of Lumumba's house looks like? I hopefully look for a moving van in front of his house every time I drive by it.
So, moving a grand piano is something you want to avoid. There are ways to protect one without moving it. There were grand pianos long before there was air conditioning or even electricity. I love how all those folks who left Jackson when they saw a dark skinned face on their streets and who oppose state funding for the capital city are now ignoring white flight was the problem. So you live in cheap fauxville and the mold grows faster there.
Never cared for heavy metal, I barely put it just above rap. I'm sure these are all extremely talented performers, but if I have to listen to heavy metal I will listen to Spinal Tap.
9:09 Really..? Hahaha
Haven't had time to watch all that yet, do these boys have any more info on when Thalia Mara will start serving fried catfish?
Whether it's this metal stuff or the symphony that fried food could go a long way to making Thalia Mara a major and unique destination again!
