Although the firefight that took place in the Brookhollow neighborhood Thursday horrified many, a Jackson Municipal Court Judge seemed unaffected by it all.
JPD said over 100 rounds were fired during the shootout captured in this video. The gun battle took place on several streets as the thugs shot, communicated, and moved on out as they tried to slaughter each other.
JPD arrested 18 year-old Linden Ford and charged him with shooting into an occupied dwelling.
JJ checked the jail roster yesterday and was somewhat surprised to see his name was not included. HCSO said Jackson Municipal Court Judge Virginia Watkins set his bond at $10,000. You read that correctly. $10,000. Given the level of his family support, he bonded out quite easily. Catch and release indeed.

Round 2 in 3, 2, 1...
There is no reason for cops arresting thugs when they are immediately released. The marches down the streets, the prayers, or the chief running his mouth will not stop the crime. That is the way the people in Jackson wants it.
The city leadership (mayor and DA) need to meet with the chief judge and put an end to this crap. There is a chief judge, right?
Just as I predicted in the original thread of this story. Another thug blessed by the Hinds County court systems. And this is only the beginning of the blessings for them.
12:43, the District Attorney is not a municipal office in Mississippi.
The next item on Mayor Horne's agenda need to be a thorough review of the Jackson Municipal Court.
Judge Reynolds is a blessing to the city. I don't know about the rest, except Virginia Watkins must have her own agenda.
I can't even find out anything about the court online. The link to the website is broken. Was this Lumumba's final act of sabotage?
1:01, The Hinds County and Jackson Municipal courts are two separate court systems.
This is why citizens do not want to make statements or cooperate with JPD or Law Enforcement in Hinds County because the Judges are so freaking delusional. They want their babies out of jail so they can continue to commit crimes against the citizens of Hinds County!
Jackson is no place to live, raise a family or operate a business. Even the judges are thugs.
That's what the voters of jackson want...soft on crime judges, and criminals that ruin the city, so that the voters can complain of middle class flight.
No. The new mayor can put an immediate stop to this stupidity. He appoints municipal judges and he can make it quite clear to those lawyers whom he appoints to these part-time positions that they will not be so damn soft and will NOT do favors for their fellow lawyer friends requesting low bonds. If the mayor is serious about slowing down crime, he will start there.
Rewarding bad behavior just brings about more of the same.
Judge: It was only 100+ rounds. It's not like it was a real firefight and nobody was hurt. Boys will be boys. Live and let live. Besides, they weren't white.
Hopefully he’ll catch a round or two next time.
