A relatively new trend in public education are industry-specific schools. Dr. Keri Ingraham discusses their success in helping students and businesses on the Empower Mississippi podcast with host Grant Callen. Dr. Ingraham explains why these specialized schools are a timely solution to align education with labor market demands, offering students industry-recognized credentials and hands-on training at schools such as West Michigan Aviation Academy.

'Aligning education with labor market demands'. Wow!
What a concept! The community college system and the (prior) Employment Security Commission were preaching that sixty years ago. And fifty years ago. And forty and thirty.
Wheel says "please re-invent me."
Re-invent no, re-design yes. School now is daycare for the parents to work 8 or more hours a day to keep the machine rolling and fund the government pedos. Keeping these kids inside all day has created the government meth program ie. ritalin and adderall. We already waste the most money per student. Something needs to change.
