Smith was pronounced deceased on scene; the second man was transported to a local hospital and rushed into surgery to be treated for serious injuries. Smith’s next of kin has been notified. No arrest has been made at this time. This is an active investigation.Kingfish note: An old poem.
One bright day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
A blind man came to watch fair play,
A mute man came to shout "Hooray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came to stop the two dead boys.
If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man; he saw it, too.

Dokka Chief. Brush up on legal, lawsuit resistant, surprise roadblocks all over South, SouthWest, West, and NorthWest Jackson (all where the murders occur) and the stretch of Ridgewwood Rd. From Adkins to County Line. Have K9 sniffers at the ready.
Confiscate drugs, illegal guns, make arrests. Watch the violent crime statistics drop like losers in a gunfight.
