Hinds County Constable John Brown's family just keeps getting in trouble. Flowood police arrested his grandson, Dylon Jason Brown, Sunday night and charged him with possession of a machine gun.
Police stopped Brown in his black 2012 Dodge Charger on Lakeland Drive. Police found over seven grams of weed in the car as well as two pistols in the back seat. One pistol was "legal" but the other one had a 40-round magazine and a "switch" that allowed it to shoot in full automatic mode, The serial number was filed off as well.
There were two other individuals in the car. One was a juvenile and taken to the Rankin County Youth Detention Center. The other passenger was cited for being a minor in possession of a vape.
The Flowood Municipal Court set Brown's bond at $50,000.
Kingfish note: Greta Bully, Barak Patton, and now Dylan Brown. Call it what it is. John Brown's family is nothing but a bunch of thugs.

Now I would not call them thugs, misguided, undereducated and ill informed yes! Constable John Brown did a lot for the HINDS County Community but spent little time educating some of his thugs, I meant to say family members!
Dang he can’t help everyone! Bless their hearts!
They ain't mine!!! I don't know how they got there.
Some of these thugs can read
oops! They simply forgot they were just outside Hinds County. Grandpa will need to remind them that their cover only extends to the county line.
So Houston, we have a problem. These switches are becoming way to common on these firearms. As a former LEO, staunch 2nd amendment supporter and avid sportsman, I can no longer rely on my extensive training and great marksmanship if I encounter one of these little miscreants trying to do me harm. A full auto pistol clearly has the upper hand against my law abiding ownership of a legally manufactured semi-auto pistol. Looks like I might need to invest in some comfortable body armor to help my odds of surviving a confrontation with one of these pray and spray thugs. Laws are why guys like me would never think of altering a firearm to full auto. ATF will put you under the jail if caught. I hope this guy gets it handed to him over possessing this altered firearm.
40-round magazines are legal in Mississippi.
The switch is certainly not legal. Even if the ATF declines to prosecute, Mississippi has its own statute making it a state felony as well. Also, I do not have inside information ( just almost 2 decades in court rooms on both sides), and I highly doubt Rankin will decline to prosecute
Bennie will save John Browns grandson
If arrested in Hinds County maybe Chowke could have pulled a Xiden and pardoned them. :)
2:02 and 2:18, please spare us your bias and lack of humor on this very serious matter.
You seem to be the person lacking humor.
2012 Charger? What a loser.
Darn, while I was attending bible school someone broke into my ride and installed a switch on my Glock.
The minor possessing the vape will end up the only one being sentenced.
2:30 Looks like you're on the wrong page. And this is not that serious. When can someone make a joke? Does it need to be run by you? The history here is pretty clear.
Dylan, why in the hell you were out past midnight in Rankin County, your booking sheet says 0:32. Now I told you to learn reading in school but naw you did your own thang and took yo ass across the County Line into Rankin County. Son with those charges, I hope to learn to read while in prison!
Just 18 years old and has 11 tattoos according to his booking sheet! Young man if you were going to enter a life of crime I would suggest no identifying marks on your body. I would also suggest an education, job, family and children in that order if you can afford them. I hope you can get pass this bump in your life and move forward and be a productive and law abiding citizen.
A native Jacksonian roaming around Rankin Co. late at night in a Charger. What could possibly go wrong? That's a Rankin Co. lawman's wet dream. That alone is "reasonable suspicion" for a traffic stop, because you know he be "riding dirty."
4:55 is right
Yep....
1) A worn out Dodge charger
2) Weed
3) A Hinds County tag
3) Dreadlocks
4) A Glock fully automatic machine pistol, plus another pistol
5) Riding around in Rankin County at night
This boy doesn't have a clue.
Seems like these Glock switches are everywhere. I've read they can even be mass produced on a 3-D printer. Can't Glock do something to render a gun unusable if modified? Maybe we should do what California Democrats do with a crime problem and just declare the switches aren't a crime.
Of course it was the de rigueur Dodge Charger, surely with a chambered muffler. Both are requirements to join "the life".
I was just shopping for switches online. True story. I’m probably on a list now.. search “Glock switch key chain”, there are endless sites to purchase. Looks cool as hell.
@5:56 PM The switches don’t work on Gen5 Glocks. But there are already millions of Gens 1-4 in the wild.
A switch and a filed serial number? If young master Brown has not yet had a chance to converse with certain folks, I suspect certain folks will be getting to his narrow young ass pretty soon. I also suspect the lad may have a bit of an issue.
