As Jackson suffers more water problems, where is Jackson's leadership?
The Lumumba administration issued a water conservation notice on June 21. A boil water notice followed on June 24. Water problems persisted until the Mississippi State Department of Health placed the city under a boil water notice on Thursday.
The people of Jackson must buy water at the grocery store. Restaurants lose money. Can't serve food or drink without clean water. Even grocery stores are affected as they are forced to close their fresh meat and seafood counters. What the hell is going on with this town when you can't buy a $25/lb filet? This is the capital city, dammit.
Where are the briefings and progress reports? Where is the Mayor? Dr. Omari? Where is Marlon King, the Public Works Director who is well, not really a Public Works Director?* All of these PhD's and suits who are great at talking and planning but are completely clueless when it comes to making things happen. Gone are the reassuring briefings of Dr. Charles Williams to be replaced by well, nothing.
Totally unacceptable.

This is what the Democrat Party wants for everyone who is NOT party leadership.
The fruits of voting democrat are equal suffering among the plebs and luxury and zero accountability for the party leaders.
Chokwe Antar Lumumba is not even capable enough to run a small business. No way he could even run a city bigger than Terry. He got where he is ONLY because he is useful to the democrat political machine.
Look… until the business community starts to publicly push back against this example Jeff good and others the mayor and his unqualified cronies will be asleep at the wheel. All of them only can wear a suit paid for by the taxpayers bc he couldn’t earn a honest paycheck. He’s a leach and brainless twit. About 6 weeks ago he blatantly cut in front of me one morning at broad street and I said excuse me… he said yeah? I replied I know I pay your salary and you think your special but the line is about 8 people back. He snarled at me and took a phone call walked off. He saw me at the CCJ and then was nice to me as he learned my family had a large poultry operation until recently. I guess he learned he’s not the big player he thought
The boy mayor does not care one bit about Jackson. He thinks it is just a stepping stone so he can take a much bigger seat in state or national politics.
In his mind, the more the state gets involved in Jackson's problems, the more he can blame someone else for the problems. So, the sooner he can cry racism, the better off he'll be.
This is all a set up for the feds and the State of MS to clean up the failures of Jackson's past.
With the citizens not holding him accountable, his methods might work and we may see Congressman Lumumba.
Jackson has leadership?
Struggle to make sense of the many Jackson Water Alert letters, or Lumumbations on any topic, until finally, unable to muck one's way through the circular subterfuge of turbid circumlocution, a specialty of Lil Choke and crew, finally the realization strikes one that their mental/linguistic circle jerks are intended as a responsibility avoiding substitute for understanding problems and setting a course for their resolution, for which practical navigation they are rudderless and without a captain.
Is there anyone in Jackson capable of running a lemonade stand? If there is a single one who can please call an emergency election and put that person in charge.
10:57 is leaning towards my thoughts on the “congressman” issue. Remember Bennie Thompson is tight with his families, in more ways than you think, so it would make sense that jr is being preened to run for Thompson’s seat in the not so near future. And the RNA will live on. Somebody needs to tell jr not to get sick and go to the hospital around here. He might be better off in Memphis or Atlanta.
He’s probably meeting with a New York Times reporter telling them how it’s the white mans fault his water department is inept and crying for more money(that he won’t use to fix the f’ing problems). Or jet setting to liberal cities telling them about his good deeds while postering for national wokeness. This won’t get better until we start sending the people he is talking to real facts about his ineptness and calling him out publicly so everyone sees through his bullshit. Flood the emails of the reporters who publish his lies, find out his speaking engagements and send those people real facts exposing him. That’s how you keep a guy like this on the ropes. Make a fool out of him publicly. Also start calling out the people that contribute to his campaigns. That can be found easily. Hold all of them accountable for enabling him.
Jackistan residents are chattering about there not being convenient locations to get their FREE water.
Does bottled water grow on trees, like that FREE money from WDC?
You ask about the water updates are knowing that the Freak Fest is going on right now, and it's a long holiday weekend?
Baby Chowke to sister: "Once the brown-outs and start in late July the sheeple won't even notice the water and perceived crime problems."
... the Freak Fest is going on right now ...
No it is not. Catch up.
Freak Fest was stopped by a TRO. Sadly I won't be able to get my freak on.
Jackson residents deserve what they get.
Now please stay out of Flowood. Please do all your shopping in Jackson
A City that is 84% black has no drinking water in the heat of July. I have to ask:
Where are the Black Lives Matter protests?
Right?
The water pressure and quality is fine in Atlanta where Chowke hangs out thanks to his generous Jackistan expense account, including first class airline tickets.
@3:08 PM The BLM charlatans/race baiters are too busy spending the million$ at luxury resorts and on their vacation homes that the gullible white-guilt suckers donated to them.
@3:56
1st Class gets delayed and cancelled in Atlanta 24/7. Why can't the City Council buy a private plane for their little pampered princess?
I am pretty sure that when I passed by Baby Chowke's home this morning, through the gate I could see a uniformed JPD officer unloading bottled water at his residence. That must fall under the category of "other duties as assigned."

I have no difficulty believing that this story is absolutely true. Ill manners seem to run with millennials. I expect some of the behavior, as described, is not particularly purposeful, but just because they don't know any better.
@1:52
I thought we might have brownouts too. However, nothing happened during the “heat dome” event. I suspect that the utility companies were exaggerating the dangers for political reasons. Or perhaps it was a bit of CYA for raising rates.

Kingfish,
Thank you for reminding me that I made the right decision by selling my Jackson home for a minor loss 10 years ago. Here in Flowood, we never have any of Jackson’s issues. I haven’t heard a gunshot in 10 years either. They were becoming quite common before I left.
10:32, so what are you going to do about no drinkable water at your country club now that you've sold your chicken farm?
If it doesn't affect you, does it really exist?
You are my hero 10:32.
What happened with the garbage payments ?
That controversy vanished as fast covid.
Doesn’t CCJ have its own well? The golf ball water tower makes me think so.
The perception of a failed water system.
It does no good in complaining. It's just another day in the city that is slowly dying. Sadly, Jackson appears to be following the same course as Gary, Indiana.
@10:59 AM Indeed, and Jackson and Gary have a lot in common.
Has the kiddee Mayor gone into the Witness Protection Program? When was the last time anyone saw his face?
I don't see the big deal. Don't all third world countries having drinking water problems ?
@1:42, I initially read that as witless protection.
Waiting on delivery of replacement parts/equipment?
@10:26 let’s not insult small businesses. Antar C would run a lemonade stand into bankruptcy.
