Both MDOC escapees are caught and in custody in Meridian.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections credits tips and cooperation among law enforcement agencies for the captures of three escapees.
Jonathan Blankenship, 31, and Christopher Benson High, 28, were captured roughly half a mile apart without incident in Meridian on Wednesday morning. A citizen spotted Blankenship walking on a road and notified authorities. Shortly thereafter, High was caught in woods north of North Frontage Road and east of 18th Avenue.
Four days earlier, Benny Ray Blansett, 59, was captured at a checkpoint on Lombardi Road in Sunflower County.
“We are thankful that all three men are back in custody without harm to anyone,” Commissioner Pelicia E. Hall said Wednesday. “We appreciate how much fellow law officers and the public assisted us as we worked around the clock these past several days. Teamwork made the difference.”
All three men had escaped before dawn Friday. Blankenship and High had fled the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Rankin County and Blansett left the State Penitentiary at Parchman.
Blankenship, High, and Blansett are back in prison and will face charges, including escape.
“This successful ending occurred because of the cooperation and relationship the MDOC has with local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies,” Commissioner Hall said. “We also thank the media for keeping the public informed about the searches.”
Because of the active investigation, the agency is not discussing details of the escapes. Others could be charged as the MDOC continues its investigation.

As a Pearl resident I'm glad to hear it. I am exhausted from do3i g my hourly perimeter checks on my property every night. It was fun though. Sure wish i could've bagged 'em and tagged 'em!
Darn! My assault rifle is very disappointed. Well, will MDOC, and Raymond, there will be more opportunities.
This is great news! Thanks to all law enforcement (and private citizens) that helped to bring about the successful capture of these two!
(and do people even read what they type before submitting? And not just on this thread. It amazes me how often the reader is expected to figure out what the person posting actually meant to say rather than what they have typed!)
How did they get to Meridian? Nobody in their right mind would pick up that guy with the facial tattoos?
Very impressive as to how fast they coordinated and started looking in Lauderdale County.

The media reported that a train was idling on the tracks nearby where they found their MDOC uniforms. The LEO called the railroad and were informed that the train had moved to Meridian.
@1:08 - Tat-face is a member of Simon City Royals Gang. They have heavy presence in Rankin County. I have no doubt he received help from fellow gang members.
Big difference between the before and after arrest pictures. Sure they didn't grow all that hair and beard in 5 days. MDOC needs updated photos every year.
You still use a blackberry? lol
Keyone Black Edition. Full android. Great phone.
Glad they were caught.
But I still want a neck tat.
Blakenship raised hell at the Spaceway in Meehan Junction because he didn't want no GD FOP, he was a "Dapper Dan Man", and declared the Junction "quite the geographical oddity" because it would take a week to get a tin of Dapper Dan.
Now the coverup begins on how they really got away!
Girl, the one with tats got his hair did! On another note, I wonder if those versas were on two wheels chasing these bad boys ... please order another 50 more tactical versas for your boys in blue!
The tattoo on his neck is a dotted line & below it said Cut Here!
Somebody call Pelicia and find out what hair care products they got for the inmates. I want some of that shampoo.
Probably broke out to go get some ribs. They have some good rib places in the Queen City!
Is there any video footage of the capture today? I’d love to see it! They broke into my cousins electrical business and camped out for the weekend and ate up whatever food that was there and slept on the couches-oh and stole a check before moving on to the next. Someone post a link to the video if there’s one out please! Thanks :)
Sad thing is, we were all looking for men who were bald and clearly these men have hair. Maybe and updated photo should be taken of inmates on a monthly/quarterly basis.
So a citizen saw the escapee and called 911, then the local police took both of them into custody? Seems to me that MDOC and their "partners" don't deserve any credit in this apprehension. Good job on the local's part!
@8:25 am
Agreed....but, the disgusting face tats didn't give him away? I would say he still stands out in a crowd. LOL
What a looker.
