Yet another lawsuit accuses The Vault of selling a classic car on consignment while pocketing the money.
Shelia Jenkins sued TheVaultMS.com in Hinds County Court on May 28, 2024. The complaint claims Jenkins consigned three cars for sale to the defendant. The classic cars are a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1970 Ford Ranchero, and a Chevrolet Corvair.The complaint accuses The Vault of selling the vehicles between November 2022 and July 2023. Jenkins claims she did not consent to their sale nor did she "execute the title work necessary to transfer" their lawful title to The Vault.
The Vault finally emailed the "purported" sale proceeds to Jenkins in May 2024 but only after she contacted the Capitol Police. Jenkins requested the documents related to the sale but The Vault refused to provide them.
The complaint charges The Vault with conversion, fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and common law negligence. Jenkins accuses the defendant of selling the vehicles without consent, converting the proceeds to its own use, and failing to provide the sales proceeds and documents related "to the unlawful sale."
The plaintiff seeks damages for lost profits and mental anguish, attorney's fees, and punitive damages.
Attorney Robert Germany represents the plaintiff while Michael Heilman represents the defendant. The case is assigned to Hinds County Court Judge Yemi Kings. Judge Kings set trial for September 22.
Jenkins joins a growing line of plaintiffs making similar accusations against The Vault and it's owner, J.D. Pass. Two lawsuits filed in Rankin and Hinds County charge Pass and his company of selling classic cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and keeping the money or the unsold vehicles for himself. Looks like Attorney Hellman might be needing to expand his office staff; going to be a busy year. Hope he has arranged an appropriate cash retainer so he won't get screwed like all the consignees appear to have been.

He must have falsified the titles and created other bogus documents. A buyer generally won't handover the money without the title.
Does this guy even have a dealership license? If he did there'd be a $25,000 bond to make uop a little oif the loss.

7:31s street justice comment is likely the future. Free churning lawyers make filing suits less of an option since the legal fees can easily be more than the amount of the suit.

To the lawyers representing the plaintiffs: There is a money man behind this 100%. It’s not Pass, he’s a broke dick and always has been. He solicited me for some business related dealings and I smelled a rat and didn’t pursue a relationship, but in his braggadocios nature he told me he is just the face of it. The chesty lady in his office knows everything. I’m not so sure this car dealing isn’t a front for something else….
