The wheels of justice are grinding in the Michael Corey Jenkins case. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation forwarded the case to the Attorney General for criminal prosecution recently.
Jenkins and his lawyers alleged six Rankin County deputies or law enforcement officers raided his Braxton residence on the night of January 24, 2023 without a warrant. He claimed they handcuffed him and Eddie Parker before beating them, waterboarding them with milk, trying to rape them with dildos, threw eggs at them, and forced them to shower naked together. One deputy allegedly stuck a gun in Jenkins' mouth and pulled the trigger. Earlier post and civil lawsuit.
Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey announced several weeks ago five Rankin deputies resigned or were terminated. Four of the deputies are Brett McAlpin, Christian Demond, Hunter Elward, and Jeffrey Middleton. The fifth deputy is unidentified. Richland Police Chief Nick McClendon announced an "off-duty" Richland police officer, Joshua Hartfield, was "implicated in the raid and resigned.
It is not known if the Attorney General has presented the case to the grand jury nor if indictments will be sought against all six former law enforcement officers. However, the ball is now in Lynn Fitch's court.
Kingfish note: The Federalis are expected to prosecute the case. It would be nice if the state would clean up its own messes for once instead of letting the Feds handle everything.

Rankin County SO Interrogation Manual guidelines:
1. Pull out the dildos
2. If that doesn't work waterboard them with milk (kindler, gentler method)
3. If all else fails shoot them in the mouth
This will guarantee that they will confess to anything; maybe even the Lindbergh baby kidnapping or shooting Pres. Lincoln.
Federal indictments looming. Arrests forthcoming. Expect the indictments to allege circumstances that are actually worse than what has been pled in the civil litigation.
Don’t the Feds have to investigate since these are alleged federal crimes first? Yes the state should stop this too, agreed!
Slap leather you taxpayers
Word is one might have worn a wire and got the Sheriff saying incriminating statements.
some one please tell me.....will fitch assemble her own grand jury , or will she ''borrow'' the rankin county grand jury???????
And there it will wither and die
I will advocate for the devil here. Is there credible evidence that the officers actually dis these things? I have seen close gunshot damage to the soft tissue of a face, and such a shot would have blown away teh side of that guy's face. In recent videos, it looks pretty good, so I question the gun in his face and pulled the trigger claim.
Also I reviewed several hundred years of claims that the PoPo did bad things and found that many times, the perp was not telling the truth; either mistaken or simply lying about what actually happened.
Is there any testimony other than the two black guys to support these claims? Did they recover the dildo or anything else?
Just asking.
Now I remember why I built in the city of Madison rather than Brandon.
Any takers on when it will actually be called to Trial?
Allegations in a civil complaint for $400 million are not always backed up by the evidence. I plan to wait until the investigation reports are released to form an opinion.

1) dildo is secured in evidence. My question is who brought it to the party as it was not in the house prior.
2) phone records and taser records (mini computer inside of unit) secured
3) cell phones confiscated , my guess is there is 47 min of conspiracy taking place .
4) why steal the home camera system if nothing happened?
5) I’m hearing the original caller to Bailey has been questioned and identified.
6) BOS is putting distance between the county and the SO (at least Bailey that is ) a promotion was denied this week. I’m glad the Board took a stand .
If there was really nothing to this , what have all these things happened?
There will be much more to come and it gets worse!

someone please answer the question posed at 10;04 am
It's my understanding from the street that this thing really is as bad as it sounds.
Also, there are strong suggestions the deputies will do some time. With that said, defendants never get in a hurry and when the settlement talks begin, I'm betting a large payoff and some reasonable plea deals could make this go away.
Except in the very limited circumstances involving a statewide drug investigation or RICO violations, the Attorney General has no legal authority to convene a grand jury. Thus, as in all the other cases where the AG's Office is prosecuting, the assigned prosecutor will present the case in the grand jury operating in the county where the criminal act occurred. Also, there is no need for the feds to investigate first, because we are talking about two separate sovereigns -- the State and the United States -- each of which has jurisdiction and can prosecute regardless of what the other sovereign does. There is no federal preemption in these circumstances.
If half of what’s been alleged is true, these officers will spend the rest of their lives in prison. It’s going to be kidnapping, attempted murder, felony assault, sexual assault, attempted murder, as well as the civil rights violations. They could probably get some enhancements for being gang members as well as possible RICO on the entire office if they are able to prove a pattern.

No way this goes away. This case, as horrible as it is, I’d on part of the SO’s problems . This has opened the proverbial can of worms .
This is interesting. All the talk from Fitch about Jim Hood hiring out of state friends to handle Mississippi issues.
She knows NOTHING about the law or handling a legal case.
Will she punt, claim some sort of immunity or recuse? She damned sure will not have anybody on her staff competent enough to handle the case.
Can’t trust Fitch to handle this one , I have no faith ! This one is handed to her on a silver platter .
@ 9:49...did you say THIS one? Can you remind me of a case, any case, her office has handled since the red-dress gals rallied her into office?
Reckon not, 8:36.
Unfortunately this will only be prosecuted by the Feds. That is going to be a real disservice to the MBI who have been hard at work on this case and others involving Rankin.
