The wokesters are trying to shut down a Dallas coffee shop chain after a manager quit and claimed on social media the company was serving coffee to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. WFAA reported:
A now-former manager at the Downtown Dallas location of White Rhino Coffee has gone viral thanks to an Instagram post in which she announced her resignation from the coffee company because she claimed she was told to offer ICE agents discounts. Margot Stacy's Thursday morning social media post stirred up a controversy leading to several actions over the span of the last five days. Almost a dozen employees across the local coffee shop chain joined Stacy in quitting. Celebrities voiced their support on social media for her stance. And the company she had worked for until that day has since issued two separate statements in response. two weeks ago, Stacy wrote, she brought a safety concern to higher-ups regarding the presence of ICE agents in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. "My concern was met with an action that I find morally abhorrent: I was told that these murderous mercenaries are not only welcome at our table but encouraged to patron our shops by offering them a First Responder discount," Stacy wrote. "This put me in a position to either compromise everything I believe in or abandon my team." Stacy also said in her letter that, as a transgender woman with a staff of largely Black and Hispanic employees, she was particularly appalled by the move. Rest of article.
The CEO said the company does not consider federal agents to be first responders and issued the following statement.

You had an opportunity here to say that you do not condone the behavior of ICE agents. This is very disappointing. This isn’t “just coffee.” When a business chooses to give perks connected to immigration enforcement, that sends a message especially to families in this community who already live with fear and feel like their rights aren’t equally protected.
