JPD arrested four men in the Cooper Road murder that took place Independence Day.
Two suspects are 17 years old and their names were not released. JPD charged Cameron Russell with murder and Daniel Taylor with accessory after the fact.
Russell is already known to the police. JPD arrested Russell a year ago and charged him with shooting into an occupied dwelling. Jackson Municipal Court Judge Virginia Watkins set his bond at $25,000. The police affidavit stated:

The incompetency of the local legal system is at fault for not taking care of this murderer the first time. And, people are bailing out of one of the highest murder rate cities in the USA.
Does the City of Jackson have a municipal prosecutor's office?
Isn't that who would normally handle such a case, until it is formally bound over to the grand jury, at which time it would be transferred to the District Attorney's office?
