Many readers have been asking for a collection of all JJ posts about Jackson's water treatment system over the last few few years. The Kingfish is more than happy to oblige and just finished it while watching Marshall beat Notre Dame. We are Marshall, anyone? The page is divided into several sections:
Click here to go to JJ's 2022 water crisis page.
* EPA Administrative Order & Coverup
* Jackson mishandling of April 2021 fire at O.B. Curtis
* City & water/sewer finances
* Mayor Lumumba lies about state not paying water bills
* Moratorium on water/sewer cutoffs
* Jackson 2022 water crisis.
* Siemens project
* Lagniappe
The daily updates during the current crisis at O.B. Curtis are not included. Hope this helps.

“Many readers have asked”
Right.
Ignore the jerk at 6:20 PM. You are doing great work and it is much appreciated.
September 10, 2022 at 6:20 PM, glad you could stop by, mayor.
Good work!
Unfortunately, it will be ignored by everyone from WLBT locally, to MSNBC nationally.
But it is now on the record now, all in one place.
@6:20 what an A$$hole remark.
The only crisis we have is this mayor!!! He declares it all a crisis… garbage crisis… water crisis. Actually people with knowledge and a brain got it up and running in a few days and he couldn’t do it in years. Amazing he still shows his face in public.
@6:20 PM Still posting from your mom's basement, loser?
KF, good job. That had to be labor intensive.
**LOVE**
Thanks KF!
Truly Amazing wort KF- Amazing how much work you have done on this over the years- You called it.
The Crisis page is truly a wonderful recap of years of facts!
( I am sure Jackson can support sillier recaps such as The Zoo, JPD,JPS,JMAA,Garbage and even Finance!)
Thank you JJ
If you had a comprehensive timeline, you could sell it and make a bunch of money.
September 10, 2022 at 6:20 PM = Lives pathetic life
@6:20 you can take all of your "collaborative" (right?) talents (right) and find someone to perform "investigatory" tasks (right?) on this critical issue. Alright.
Thank you so much!
Actually, nobody has been 'asking'. But, 85.6% of those who pay minimal attention have wondered why you continue running 19 separate threads on the same subject.
The earlier record was 14 concurrent 'garbage truck' threads.
The only thing that could possibly be more painful would be six daily articles each from Crawford and Salter, mandatory reading. Well, maybe not quite as painful as the public flogging the peanut-gallery gave 6:20 and the one that bunch of buzzards is about to give me.
I hope the team coming in from EVA'S Office of Inspector General use this new JJ resource for it's investigation of what happened to destroy the water system.
September 11, 2022 at 12:35 AM, come here, let me give you a hug, boo. I know the truth has been tough on you.
You just need to hope that your gang can keep shovel that bullshit. Maybe it becomes large enough for you not to see the truth. You know, like before.
Eating the truth, after years of feasting on bullshit, can be rough on the system.
Lamumba will appear on Face the Nation at 9:30. Wonder what lies he will spew.
Cool. Good work, Kingfish.
Add these two things:
1) Water bills/payments are to be remitted to Memphis, TN (City Services, Dept #07-0006, P. O. Box 1798, Memphis, TN 38101-9715). March 2022 bill is to a new address in Tupelo (City Services, Dept #07-0006, P. O. Box 2819, Tupelo, MS 38803). Why the change? Still not going to the actual City Services (100 Metrocenter Mall, Suite 103, Jackson).
2) August 2022 water bill: "Sanitation rate is $37.00 a month effective August 4th." Hmmm. I thought one of the mayor's arguments about staying with his company and not rebidding was that the prices would jump. Sanitation before this new rate was $4.80 a week/$19.20 per month. Just jumped from $19.20 to $37.
KF consider adding today’s article in the CL by Keith Sharon “How much more can Jackson residents take “ . When a liberal news outlet prints something like this its hard to ignore.The national media ought to have this given to them ever time they start their BS. “ a long time Jackson resident sent his children to live in Honduras to keep them safe”
Ya’ll don’t stare putting some hate on me for saying something positive about the CL till you read the story. I’m a sensitive baby boomer ,RINO, and have a public school education, and my Mother wears army shoes. Read the damn story folks.
That Clarion-Error paywall just makes me laugh. I canceled a subscription to that paper more than 20 years ago and have not missed it for an instant. Nothing they print is worth paying for ass wipe, especially of the digital variety.
Well, Mr. Concurrent, you don't have to read the site. I'm quite sure no matter how perfect the site was, you'd find or make up any reason to bash it.
Anything from the CL would have to copied and pasted for me. Their paywall is worse than WaPo.
For prob 5 years, the bills set forth 4 payment methods — in person, mail, by phone, and online. Once I drove to Metrocenter to make a payment and told the clerks that the phone and online methods weren’t working for me. They all rolled their eyes and said those haven’t worked in years. Paymentus is back up now.
@1157—You would have been very unpopular on a debate team. You show a serious lack of home training not being able to say something without filthy talk.
Thank you KF!!! Your hard work and time invested putting this together for us is appreciated!!!! I would love a similar page about the garbage debacle. I can’t keep up with all of it! Who has an update with the garbage? Has Richards ever been paid anything? Why would they continue to work in Jackson if not???
@12:35
Where is your website? If you think you can do better, go for it.
I'm happy with the info we g get from this site and doubt anyone else could do better.
I haven't picked up any free water, prefer to buy it by the gallon. Water handouts to people in Jackson should be gallon jugs;
easier to use for multiple tasks and less plastic.
3:36pm
Your view is accurate but "jackassery" is specifically promoted by JJ. Nevertheless, there are many examples of debate scholarship on this site.
Thanks for all you do KF!
THANK YOU KF!!!
Excellent job.
Please put a link on your home page to your Jackson Water Crisis page (https://kingfish1935.blogspot.com/p/jackson-water-crisis.html).
Too much work went into that and too much good info there to make folks dig for it.
After seeing Maier in Face the Nation yesterday, it kinda looks like he is toast & yesterday news SOS ever enough money and not if but when it breaks again Just like Flint story. Hope he alone is held accountable. He can blame any or everyone as by Washington Post I believe I read he has lost his fan base & followers!
Keep up the excellent reporting, Kingfish. I’ve linked your reports in several discussions. Much appreciated! I also enjoy hearing you on the Clay Edwards show.
My only critique is you need to put a link between the Home and Entries (RSS) in the subtitle bar.
What a dog & pony show Chokwe! I am beginning to have faith in Feds & powers to be. Prayers that even Senator Thompson cares more about citizens of Jackson than saving this Politician and Acting Mayor Chokwe and bailing him out. Lord hear our Prayers for the innocent people of Jackson and open their eyes that the May see Jesus ! Please know voting has consequences & lack of turn out as well!
