“ During the altercation, one suspect received a gunshot wound. ”
I love how the police reports always make it sound like the officers aren’t the ones taking the actions. If it’s the other way around, you can be damned sure they mention who did the shooting. Must be some sort of strategy make police seem more likeable.
Or alternately so many bullets were flying they're not sure exactly who shot who.

If I were a betting man I'd say the "gunshot" wound was received
when the occupants of the 2 vehicles were shooting at each other
CPD is like PPD, they don't take no crap
Back up a paragraph, 11:14. "gunfire began between two vehicles" to start with. Nobody ever actually shoots guns anymore--gunfire erupts, shots ring out, etc., etc. Just like cars drive off the roads and crash themselves.
Does anyone sleep during the night anymore?
This would not be mentioned if it happened in Jackson!!!
At least in Clinton, police are allowed to use their best judgment & take whatever action they deem needed at the time - unlike Jackson, which hamstrings police to protect criminals over law-abiding citzens.

Whenever I crash I always throw my hands in the air and scream "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL". Sometimes the driver side passenger does take the wheel.
Clinton PD is very competent. I hate that the criminal crud invaded the town but appreciate that CPD was where it needed to be, alert, knew what they were supposed to do in that situation, and took control.
Thanks, CPD. Y'all stay safe and strong.
"CPD officers and the manager an adjacent store was standing outside at the time."
How many Clinton stores are open at that hour.
