Next Door post 2 days regarding suspicious dark color Toyota pick up-in LOHO, they included tag number
Nothing worse than a POS thief. Hope you find it.
loho?
Why would you leave a trailer parked on a Jackson street?
Public safety message here from law enforcement. Buy a tag for your trailer. They cost about $25.00. If you have a tag, the trailer can be tracked thru LPR's. At least we have an idea of which direction it went. There is also a record of the VIN which can be placed into NCIC and can aid in the identification of the trailer if later found. Haters can now commence.....
Not insinuating anything; however, there are a lot of trailers 'stolen' that were gifted by the owners who are drug addicts and meth-heads, left unlocked, contents intact...in order to pay off drug debts...carpenters, roofers, floor guys, plumbers, etc. Don't assume all of these thefts are as they appear.
It's amazing how people are always criticizing Jackson. It makes me wonder how many of these individuals leave their home from a different city to come into Jackson to work. If you are going to keep criticizing Jackson, why do you come to Jackson to work?
My first thought is this theft was carried out by someone that knew the owner.
I doubt the average Jackson drug addict or common criminal would go to the trouble of stealing a large item like a trailer . . . (unless they new when it would be unsecured).
A couple of fancy pots outside of a Jackson "Yard & Garden" shop . . . sure, but a trailer ?
But then again, it did happen in Jackson.
The thugs seem to get bolder each day in that city.
5:25, trailers are a hot item. Thieves can load them with stolen scrap or use them to haul stolen appliances out of new homes or sell them to roofers to discard roofing materials or sell them to landscapers to use to haul their equipment. I’ve had 2 stolen from me. If they are homemade they are hard to trace and not likely you will retrieve. My advice is to get a good tongue lock, wheel chock that locks and possibly a tracker. We shouldn’t have to live like this, but these are the times we live in. Drugs.....Take that out of the equation and 95% of crime will cease.

Why would anyone leave one on any street? I live in the most "law and order" neighborhood in Rankin, and I still wouldn't do that.
Take a deep breath! Trailers get stolen in all counties in Mississippi. Not just Jackson. Pretty common actually.
Local electrician just had one of his stolen and the thieves were driving a U-Haul. Got other stuff too.
A few years ago a contractor friend who is based in Jackson painted his new trailer purple or pink to aid in the anticipated post theft identification. This was after having a couple stolen trailers.
"with chrome diamond plated wheel covers."
I think not.
What is the trailer tag number?
If I see it, you won't have to pay me any reward.

Raises hand to answer the question: Because that's where the job is? People don't usually get to choose the location of the job.
Unless you own a business or work for a government office that's moved north, there ARE still some jobs in Jackson. Not a fifth as many as twenty years ago, but some.
