Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nothing to see here folks, move on please. Masks until 2022.
Manipulating grown adults is never a winning long term strategy.
I really hope this trend continues. Are masks working? The decline seems to coincide with the statewide mandate. Deaths haven't started dropping much yet. We're still #1 in mortality for the past week according to the Washington Post.
We'll have to see how things look after Labor Day. Dr. Dobbs said to expect an increase about then as the kids take the infections back into the homes where parents and grandparents will get sick and go into the hospital.
Trending down. Just in time for kids to start school and then cases will probably pop up again in a few weeks.
Love the trends we’re seeing. Hope we can keep statewide masks for a couple of more weeks to keep driving the numbers down!
“Hurrah for government! Hail government, our savior and guide!! More regulations and restrictions on personal autonomy! Please suh! Can I ‘ave some more government!? -Mississippi “Right Wingers” apparently.
It is what it is.
It ain't what it ain't.
KF, where are you finding the Rt factor? I get the emails from MSDH and check the site, but I don't know where the Rt factor is located. If you are doing that yourself, what is the formula?
To me, that is the single most important number in all this!
Rt.live.
I’m sure the 904 people who are positive and relatives of the deceased are reassured with the rt factor. I’ll let you know how two who waited too long for test result when feeling sick and were taken my ambulance ( White by the way ) feel if they don’t make it.
No tests, no cases , right? It won’t exist and will have miraculously disappeared.
8:15 The Rt and the infection/mortality numbers need to be taken together. The Rt alone just tells you what direction you are heading, it says nothing about where you currently are. A state with 8 infections per capita that jumps to 12 will have a higher Rt than a state like Mississippi that had 30 and has dropped to 27.
Mississippi may be getting better, but we are still the second worst state in the nation behind North Dakota. And for whatever reason the territory of Guam has a super-high number too.
I check the Washington Post which has a great graphic showing the rates per capita for all states and territories using the past week's data. I believe anyone can access it without going through the paywall.

As I stated to much chagrin, we reached peak infections 4 weeks ago and critical metrics were to rise before drastically falling. Here comes the drastic fall. Must be the masks***
Democracy is the means by which those who adore authority and crave the security of servitude can use their numbers to enslave those who wish to live in a free Republic.
9:03: Not disagreeing with you at all. I've always said Rt is an indicator of where we will be in 10-20 days.
There will always be deaths. open up now!!
Hey KF, 9:03 here. That comment wasn't directed at you at all. I was just pointing that out to the poster who said the RT was the most important number.
10:28, Alexis De Tocqueville?
