There will be a new route for the St. Paddy's Day parade next year.
The new route will make it easier for law enforcement to keep order.

Just cancel it, the rabble has already destroyed a once great parade
It's perfect! It touches on all of the attractions to downtown.
That's not a bad route. I know the anti-Jackson everything crowd will poo poo it, but if this helps the police keep it safe, so be it.
What attractions are downtown?
Just move it to Madison
Move it to a safer location
They did that. It sucked bad. Sweet potato queens thought the whole thing revolved around them. Nobody bothered to come. Let Madison be what Madison is, a great place to have a home within a 30 minute drive of fun things to do.
Maybe the new route will put the parade outta range of the firefights...
Queen Mary not doing ANYTHING to attract "outsiders ", even if it means there is relatively nothing to do for the residents of the most affluent area in MS. It is what it is, she wants it that way and apparently her constituents are just fine with what they have and don't have, entertainment be damned.
7:07. There’s nothing fun to do in Benton.
The parade has come down Court Street for a long time. There’s nothing there besides the courthouse really. I’m guessing this change avoids the Jody Owens and family block of businesses?
Iremember when we used to start WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY down in the fairgrounds, like halfway to the COL. It was AWESOME!!
When people talk about needing "stuff to do" they are usually talking about doing something sinful! Something to keep in mind! Queen Mary has kept Madison a very special place by attracting special people. All the haters and losers outside of Madison wouldn't understand and that's ok!
8:51 PM, you sound way too young to have a clue, but you are 100% correct that “her constituents are just fine with what they have and don't have.”
7:07 PM, please do tell us what we’re missing out on nowadays in Jacktown. Having grown up here before an innocent helpless 6-year old was murdered/shot in the face and other innocent children were being killed with stray bullets, i.e. before Democrats purposely destroyed another city/Jackson, please, please do tell us.
I’m going. Just as soon as the route runs through George County or Wyoming.
