Check out what "Lawrence Goodman" posted on his public Facebook page.
Although the page says "Lawrence Goodwin", the video posted shows State Representative and Canton Attorney Lawrence Blackmon outside the courthouse Friday after he won an acquittal for his client on a murder charge. Goodwin is Blackmon. Check out this boast:
Kingfish note: It will not be surprising to see prosecutors aren't so friendly to cutting deals with Blackmon's clients in the future.
Does "F*** the D.A." include "F*** the Judge"? Apparently young Blackmon did not show up for trial this morning and Madison County Circuit Judge Dewey Arthur issued a show cause order.

He done messed up now! He might be able to get away with some of this stuff in Hinds County, but Dewey Arthur ain't going to put up with it. This boy's goose is cooked!
Those comments aren't visible.
Trash. Classless.
You can go to college(and apparently law school) but you can't buy class.
If that was directed toward Dewey Arthur (DA) he is cooked. DA don’t play.
Spoiled brat. Maybe he’ll learn what consequence means.
If he's saying f^&5 the DA, he's talking about a district attorney since you wouldn't use the article "the" before a proper noun. If he's talking about Owens, good for him! As for him getting cited for contempt by Judge Peterson, it's not like she knows what she is doing on the bench. Ya'll howl at the way she sentences criminal defendants. yet you think she's a good judge? Think again. I'm old enough to remember Tomie Green abusing Stuart Robinson to the point the MSCT disqualified her from all of his cases.
....and thus waste a lot of money on a law degree.
I'm embarrassed for him, but he isn't embarrassed for himself, I'm quite sure.
I am soooo tired of the nonchalant use of the horrible word fu*k.
Note to the FBI, Attorney Lawrence Blackmon is banned from the Cigar Bar and Yacht! He talks too much!
Does it ever hit you that, this is today's society? At least in Jackson, this is how people interact with each other! 3:26's comment is emblematic of that.
Why do people not want better for themselves than this? Look at KF's post on the Krystal on Capitol Street and all of the fond memories people have posted about that location and others. Do you think that would be possible today? Absolutely not....and there's no desire for it! You couldn't go to a Krystal at Capitol and President at 10:00 at night (like I've done too many times to count). Not only would the workers there be unbearably rude, but you'd have to fear for the other customers.
This is just how we live now, and no one seems to care to make a change. In fact, like the video above, efforts are still being made to take away the decorum from the institutions that have been constructed over centuries.
Today's Jackson culture builds N O T H I N G. It only destroys.
