Live from Germantown

More gentlemen and gentleladies' disagreements took place at Germantown schools recently.  A video of the debate team in action is posted below.  The video is actually four videos combined into one.  Most are only a few seconds each. The debate team quickly drew the attention of students and faculty as the arguments grew a little heated at times.

All you Germantown supports that have been saying for YEARS that Germantown is as good or better than Madison Central can kindly stop your argument right there. It’s just a different caliber of student that attends there. White or black, male or female.

I've seen enough. There needs to be an absolute cleaning house in the middle and high schools. I have students in both. These fights are commonplace and the same group of students every time. They won't get rid of them because you scream "lawsuit" and the school district backs off.

These fights are from the high school this week, but what is going on in the middle school is even worse. A teacher (spouse of a principal, so you know it was serious) is currently on leave at the middle school because they allowed two students to engage in sexual activity in class. Middle school. A few weeks ago, two students were caught in a sexual act in a bathroom. Nothing happened to any of the students, and one of the girls won Beauty and Beau.

Then there is a slut shaming assistant principal that is telling all the middle school girls that its their fault if a boy touches them because of what they are wearing. There are recordings that have circulated just like these videos. She should be fired on the spot for what she said.

Earlier this month, a group of parents got in a hissy over some books in the library. That's all good and fine - we don't need to have filth in the library, but they need to demand that the schools get order in the hallways. They seem to be the only ones the board will listen to.

This is the third time in 2022 that this blog has posted videos from Germantown. The community needs to be embarrassed and demand action. If a lawsuit is the only way to get the board's attention, then we need to file a lawsuit for the school to offer a safe learning environment.

So, private school it is.

I can’t even imagine having a kid in public schools in 2022.
Most of this activity was emboldened by all of the kowtowing and kneeling that took place in 2020.
The democrats have sewn the seeds of chaos and they will reap the whirlwind.

Anonymous said...

to 2:07..........in you first paragraph you say the threat of a lawsuit allows this type of behavior .
in your last paragraph you say a lawsuit is the only thing that will remedy the problem.
in the middle paragraphs you blast the teachers and staff................you are one mixed up goofball
when i taught high school parents like you were every teachers nightmare.
remember you little karen.........they are your kids, not the schools kids.

These fights have been going on for 30 years in schools- this is nothing new. I went to Madison Central in the late 90's/ early 00's and many a fight was fought in the hallways. The only difference now is it's being recorded.

Anonymous said...

The school needs to put the big girl on the payroll. She can take care of business.

"A teacher (spouse of a principal, so you know it was serious) is currently on leave at the middle school because they allowed two students to engage in sexual activity in class."

Wait, is this true? Seems like local journalists would want to get to the bottom of this.

"So, private school it is."

For now. The private schools are intent on cratering from within with all of the virtue signaling.

I moved my son to canton academy over a year a go has been going to CA for almost 3 years now and loves every min of it. Close nit group of friends and family attend CA and as of now no major disciplinary acts have taken place with any of the students. I would hope if your interested in leaving the cesspool of what German town is becoming look into Canton Academy.

Still have quite a few outliers being dropped off in rider line. Hinds, Rankin and Holmes County tags. Get auntie and uncle to let them use their address and agree to pay a utility bill to have receipt.

Soon to be renamed Thugtown HS.

We live in a society that celebrates deviancy and the dismantling of the nuclear family.

This is the result and its no surprise to anyone with common sense.

It makes me sick that I am forced to pay taxes to support our broken education system, but I don't have hope for improvement.

Good luck to parents and though it is far from perfect, I highly recommend private school.

Anonymous said...

This seems to all point to administrators and discipline. Starting at Central Office down to the schools.
The Germantown community will not tolerate this. We have made an investment in our homes, community, Churches, and schools.
Our children deserve a positive experience each and every day- absolutely no excuses.
Administrators and School Board, if you can't control this, please step aside and move on somewhere else.
This is absolutely ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

I am too, glad, that I am not raising young children during these times. No grands yet, but most likely yes private school it will be. What happened to expelling children. I remember the kid that threw a pencil compass that stuck in the teachers hand one day, just never showed back up. Gone.

Anonymous said...

The sounds are a bit "unusual" for a debate but what the hell. Must be an interesting place to matriculate. Building looks nice though.

Anonymous said...

I’d the central office acting on this? It seems that behavior across the district has become lax since 2018. Yes, parents snd home life play a role in this behavior but what is being done by district administration and school authorities? This is a dangerous issue.

Anonymous said...

When is the board going to step up and realize that this is a problem that cannot be fixed by the current administration. The principals at both the middle snd high schools have to go. It's past time. You will not talk to an involved parent who thinks otherwise.

Several of the assistant administrators need to go as well. They have contributed to the problem. What needs to happen is a complete new leadership needs to come in and take charge. Germantown schools will never be Madison Central but they can be great schools.

After the last post on here, I talked to several parents who had no idea this stuff was going on. Now they are paying attention and they know. There is no doubt this time.

2:07, the sex in the middle school thing is absolutely happening. There are a couple more instances that you did not mention. They try to sweep these things under the rug. Its not going to work this time.

To the board - if you take your job seriously, you will terminate the head principals at both GMS and GHS immediately. Don't just reassign them - get rid of them. There's more that is going to come out and it's damning. There are videos and recordings from these schools that are going to be way worse than this.

Anonymous said...

Why doesn’t this blog post any fights from Madison Central or Ridgeland High? Some agenda being pushed here against Germantown when we have all seen videos just like this from the other major schools

Anonymous said...

Banks and Griffin are laughing all the way to the bank.

Anonymous said...

Schools have a zero tolerance policy on guns, right? How about a zero policy on fights? Throw a punch and you’re expelled. Get this trash out of the school.

Anonymous said...

😂 lol@ typical pathetic Kingfish cowardly censorship
Truth simply cannot be allowed, right?

Anonymous said...

Teachers to the Administration, “ we have been trying to tell y’all”.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps teachers with classroom experience should be running schools instead of professional administrators.

On another note, those guys are crazy to get between those two fighting girls. People get cut like that. I learned that a long time ago, in my high school.

Lock them in the gymnasium and let them go at it until they give out.

Embarrassing. Our community is better than this.

I don't know what the problem is, but there is a problem.

Considering what parents pay for smart phones, at least train these urchins on how to record good video.

Anonymous said...

Wow. Debating has changed since I was in school.

Toto, I've a feeling that Mike Kent isn't the Madison County School Superintendent anymore.

Anonymous said...

Seeing this makes me relish my years in JPS…been a few years but absolutely never saw anything like this.

Anonymous said...

I love how the Madison County Schools bought a Dodge Charger to ride around in. Your tax dollars at work.

Same thing happened all the time when I was in Hattiesburg in the 80’s. Not condoning it, but it’s part of going to public school. Everyone calm down!

Lindsey Beckham said...

We’ll start on it now and they MAY start to listen around 9-10 months from now. That seems to be the amount of time they’ve taken before even considering what we’ve had to say on other important topics..
ORRRRR… parents could start to show up in droves, vet the hell out of each school board candidate and make sure everyone they know shows up at the polls to vote…. (Currently only 3%-6% of the population actually shows up to vote in local elections.) Which would culminate in the unseating of the current board and possibly voting in some school board members who actually give a damn about the students in MCS.
Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

Lindsey, you are right.

Two things need to happen:

1. Parents and the community should DEMAND a forum with the principals and district leadership to address what is going on in Germantown schools.

2. The community should demand Option 1 in the rezoning plan and get behind and support a school board candidate from the Germantown zone. Currently, Germantown has zero representation on the board.

Congrats on the girl that made it to the big boss at the end.

Now now let’s not judge public schools, at least the video doesn’t display the kids stealing their parents meds/ alcohol, vaping, snorting coke and buying laced street meds. Look at your own school before you quick to judge. Kids been fighting at schools since forever! I agree their needs to be harsher penalties for this behavior but it’s not something unique to this one school. Every school has its own type of fight.

Anonymous said...

This problem can be stopped.

Recently, a school in one of the many inner-city shitholes we have been blessed with was experiencing the exact same thing.

The solution was to bring a group of fathers to come inside the school and be highly visible among the students. They basically had the ability to approach the students as a father, not as a school official. It worked. The kids respected them and the fights went to almost zero.

We're dealing with kids raised outside the box. We better think outside the box.

12:04 How about a County Superintendent that cares about education instead of social engineering?

Anonymous said...

A version of this drama is in every school.. every one....
Fights, drugs, teachers, staff are part of the cover up, sweep under the rug.
NOT all of them.
Report these things.
Please.
Report them to US department of Education.
Let Them Investigate. Office/ contacts should be Dallas TX.
NOT MC level, NOT State of MS level

MEDIA
All local media outlets to cover

BOARD MEETINGS/ LOCAL DISTRICT LEVEL
Sure you can ask to speak the local MC School District board.
But will any of you.?...Will you show up, respectfully state the problem?
Bring proof.
Good luck.
Doubt it. But you will get online and bi*** / whine, complain.
Probably better to have a really good attorney send a letter to request to be on the agenda.
Your taxpayers pay for it. All of it.
The good teachers, staff and the bad.
Bad - those who know these issues exist, encourage it, participate and don't do a d*** thing to help it to stop.
The good, the ugly.

Next meeting is Monday, May 9, 2022 @ 5:00 p.m. at the Central Office - Boardroom
per school site Anyone representing either himself individually or a group, should, at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the Board meeting, make a written request directed to the Superintendent (addressed to Ellen Aregood at earegood@madison-schools.com) of his desire to speak to the Board and also provide in the same request a statement of his topic.

I hear the K-9 drug dogs would have a field day at many of the area schools NOT just MC Public schools.

What will you do?

Anonymous said...

All those proud Gluckolds and their shit schools lol. Or is it Gluckers? Or Gluckites?

Anonymous said...

This is not a school problem. This is a parent/kid/family/community problem. School happens to be where the fights are taking place because that is where these miscreants spend many of their waking hours, but this all goes back to some parents refusing to parent. Don't blame administrators, teachers, etc. for problems that were firmly rooted before these kids ever stepped foot in the schools.

Anonymous said...

@5:16 pm
Right and Wrong.
There are policies/ rules.
Administration, teachers - whoever is in charge.
KEY WORD IN CHARGE is not doing their job.
Yes this does go back to parenting, discipline at home.

There are drugs all over the schools even some in elementary

Anonymous said...

Get out of Mississippi as fast as you can!

Anonymous said...

This will continue until Charlotte Seals and the school administration decides to take it seriously. And we need some school kids to be leaders. The kids were just standing around filming. No leadership at all. Some coaches should be running their sports teams until they puke. This is embarrassing.

Anonymous said...

White folks do it too you know.

Anonymous said...

I agree with 8:48. The pearl clutching on this thread is amazing. "This would never happen at my school!" "Move your kids to private school now! (or Canton Academy, Madison Central, etc)"

You think bad stuff isn't happening at every school? You have your head in the sand. We as parents have to worry about own kids and raise them right. They are going to see some bad behavior no matter what you do - unless you homeschool maybe.

Anonymous said...

Many of those yutes fighting live at The Trails of Madison apartments, actually located in Canton. They are not eligible to attend GHS.

Anonymous said...

MS Public school.

analogy: public healthcare.

This is your local govt and your local population interacting.

Do people actually expect anything better from .gov and the progeny of the lowlife idiots in our community?

Anonymous said...

In the business world, where the finances to run these schools are made, if there is an ongoing problem, start at the top and hold the leadership accountable. After a lot of discussions, and problems identified, as has been done months ago, and no resolution has happened, it’s time to clean house from central office to administration. This is an embarrassing issue and morale crushing incidences for our community. Do something about it now or MRA will explode with enrollment soon.

Anonymous said...

Y'all lets be real. MRA cannot give the truly bright kids the type of education they are receiving at Germantown. Fights are bad, but the kids winning National Merit Finalists and scoring 35+ on the ACT are not affected. We cannot all go to MRA to wear cutesy uniforms and get mediocre educations.

Anonymous said...

Some enterprising private school needs to consider building a campus in Gluckstadt.

Anonymous said...

Kingfish,
Why not approve my comment? Doesn't fit your agenda? Pot calling the kettle black!

Hahahaha...Y'all are something else. I can say with absolute certainty that these "facts" are being blown way out of proportion. First of all, stop sending your little girls to school half naked or in leggings so tight that nothing is left to the imagination. That's at both GMS AND Madison Middle. The assistant principal point blank told it like it was and now all of the parents are butt hurt because their "sweet innocent little girls" are being called out for FLAUNTING their bodies...because what else would you call that? Maybe her choice of words could've been a little better, but she's simply TRYING TO PROTECT THEM and teach them the reality of it by telling them like it is. Not by any means was she telling them it was their FAULT that the boys respond inappropriately when they see some of these girls half naked-but just that hormonal boys have trouble controlling themselves around young girls dressed like tramps- my words, not hers.

The mentioned teacher at GMS didn't ALLOW inappropriate activity in the classroom. A movie was being shown and the students did it without the teacher knowing. Is that the teacher's fault for not supervising more closely? Absolutely. But quit acting like it was something that the "news" needs to hear about. You have no idea what you're talking about.

As far as the fighting goes, it's a handful of students who made the wrong choice in dealing with anger. The "caliber" of kids is no different from your private school and Madison kids other than maybe more of the wealthier kids can afford the feel-good drugs they can turn to rather than getting their aggression out with a few throws of the fists. Because y'all want to talk about a PROBLEM!!!! The amount of drugs that pass through the halls of Madison Central on a daily basis is enough to supply all the crackheads in Jackson. Get off your high horses. You're in central Mississippi, not the Hamptons.

I'm not saying that there aren't some issues that need to be addressed, because there's obviously a lot that that could be changed for the better and handled differently. It's just y'all get on here and blast these great schools made up of administrators, teachers, and staff who work for pennies. They are literally your NEIGHBORS (remember what Jesus said about that?) who put all their time into loving these kids and trying to guide them in the right direction. Have some couth and keep your big, pretentious, still-Mississippian red neck, gossiping mouths shut if you don't know what you're talking about.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
