I feel terrible for those people in Ukraine.

Even though I am not well versed in World politics, it's not hard to tell the destruction, death and suffering underway.

One item I will comment on is the chicken shit position our President has taken concerning supporting the MIG aircraft that were asked for by the Ukraine government.

I guess he's forgotten who supplied all of the MIGs to the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam war. I say f--k Putin, gas up those MIGs and dare him to do anything about it.

@ 949 -he has also evidently forgotten the Nunn-Lugar agreement that we would provide protection for Ukraine if they gave up the nukes left in their boundaries by the USSR back in Willie Jeff's administration of the 1990's.

Biden is trying to walk the same tightrope that he always takes, and in this case he has a family 'interest' to protect. Or hide. Whatever.

Forget all that political shit. He is refusing to take a side in this time of crisis. And if our guys in the Ukraince can't hold out, we will face it again once Putin crosses over a border into a NATO territory - when we have to start shooting down folks rather than just provide the aircraft to do it with.

Ukraine is ground zero for corruption on a worldwide scale - and the Bidens were knee deep in it during Obama's tenure. Putin is merely protecting his back porch. Yes, far too many innocent civilians are tragically caught in the middle, but Zelensky was installed with the help of the U.S. government to further the corruption, and Putin is calling the U.S.'s bluff to expose it.

The media is more than happy to use the conflict to distract everyone away from seeing the invasion at the southern border - and Fentanyl is flooding into America and devastating communities.

It's amazing how everyone now knows that the mainstream media has been flat out lying for the last three years, and now all of a sudden, their telling the truth? Wake up useful idiots.

Putin is unquestionably the most powerful person in the history of the world. He has the ability control food and gas prices as well as elections in other countries. He is even able to determine levels of inflation in the US.

I recently read that the economy and corruption are so bad in Ukraine that they suffered worse brain drain than Mississippi. They were losing 100k young people a year. And they lost 300k, mostly female, in 2020 alone. Even before the war, young people saw no future for themselves in tue corrupt, agrarian Ukraine. Young people, mostly women, could get a free education in Germany or France and would never return. Educated Ukrainian women can earn more working as a waitress in Western Europe, than the normal salary of a Ukrainian government employee. And we all know how much they were paying Hunter Bribe’em.

The Stennis Space Center is 56 miles from Biloxi. If the media gets simple things like this egregiously wrong, how are we supposed to believe anything else they say.

This is actually old information. According to the Defense Department, Ukranian Soldiers were in classroom training here in February when Russia's invasion of their sovereignty began...and were in Virginia when this blog post appeared.

I have to agree with 12:59 on this. Why divulge this info? Of course, we do need to give assistance. It sure is strange that WWI was began a little over 750 miles away from Ukraine in The city of Sarajevo and WWII was begun when Germany invaded Poland which is a little over 700 miles as way from Ukraine. That area has been a hot bed of sorts for too long.

When I was on active city, I trained to fire an earlier version of this weapon. I hope they have improved it. One major problem with it was it left a vapor trail showing the target exactly were you fired from, and believe me, they missed a lot. This earlier version was called a “red eye” missile.

I know where the Navy SEALs train in coastal Mississippi and that’s where the Ukrainian boys are.

Stennis houses SBT 22(SEALs) along with Naval Small Craft Instructional and Technical Training School.... among other things.

These dudes trained at NSCITTS and apparently trained with Switchblade drones. They were scheduled to train there before Russia invaded. This training was not predicated on the Russian invasion.

Secondly, news article states they were talking to them in Biloxi before departing back home. Hence, training was complete and they were either at Keesler or the Biloxi airport getting ready to ride back home.

This sales presenta..., er, training session was a couple of months ago, planned before the invasion of Ukraine, was not a secret, and from the nations-roster of attendees alone (Mauritius has only national defense/police forces and the Bahamas and Jamaica don't have "national" armies, air forces, etc. per se, they have combined "defense forces" with the Queen as CIC), it clearly wasn't a top-secret gathering of elite forces swapping combat experiences on use of the latest in miltech.

Agreed. America has known for the past few years of Russia’s intentions as far as the region goes. America will never sit around and allow another country (especially USSR) to devalue and eventually destroy its currency, and rightfully so. With the Ukrainian invasion, Putin is playing chess, positioning himself for financial control (however corrupt) in the region.

Well, that's not too good. The DOD apparently doesn't know where its own schools are. The school is not in Biloxi/Harrison County, it is at Stennis in Hancock County. I have no idea why anyone friend or foe, foreign or domestic, other than attendees, would have the slightest interest in or want to argue about anything to do with that training or location but for those that do just Google "Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School" for all the boring details about hull and outboard motor/marine diesel maintenance, etc.
