Ole Miss will host a college football playoff game on December 20 when it face none other than the Tulane Green Wave. Ole Miss beat Tulane 45-10 earlier this year.
Congrats to the Rebels for a job well done. This is going to be not just the biggest sporting event in Ole Miss history but the biggest sporting event ever held in Mississippi, rivaled only by John L. Sullivan's Heavyweight Champeenship fight. Check out the CFP bracket posted below.

Yawn
11:46 is a Mississippi State fan or maybe an LSU fan.
Good channce of the 3rd game of the season for AL and UGA with the setup of the bracket.
ND didn't make it?!?! I didn't have that on may bingo card.
I'm a Tulane alum and find it hard to believe that little old Tulane, which is an academic university and not a sports-dominated school, plays football against Ole MS. Go Green Wave!
12:11, The bingo cards were rearranged last Tuesday when Alabama was bumped up in the rankings.
Somebody got screwed so Alabama could have a slot. I'd be raising hell.
A game involving Tulane is not the biggest sporting event in the history of Mississippi.
It will be overtly boring and whoever thinks this is great must have lived under a rock.
Hotty Toddy, but this is underwhelming.
The team is so devastated by the Lane Train derailment that I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot set their sights on the Transfer Portal. I suspect at least one QB and a couple of WRs have already been to Baton Rouge. Even at home the Rebels are going have a hard time with the Green Wave.
At some point maybe every twenty years or so an 11 or 12 seed will win the whole thing. This ain't that year.
11:53. It’s Tulane, buddy. Ole Miss already scolded them once. Why would you expect the game to be exciting?
The biggest sporting event in MS is by someone of whom I've never heard.
Tulane Green Wavezzzzzz....
The committee could have tweaked something to avoid not one, but two rematches for Ole Miss. ridiculous
Ole Miss will not get over Kiffin abandoning them. ( he wasn’t allowed to coach) Tulane was smart, their coach is going to bring the fire.
Without Kiffin the Rebels are no better than Miss State.
No marquee matchup for UMiss, because they didn't have a marquee schedule.
There are some stoopid azz comments in here.
I’m going to laugh when Ole Piss chokes. The coach(s) is gone, god knows how many players are planning on joining him . They have had weeks of distractions, these are selfish 18-23 year old spoiled kids after all.
I'm a State grad/fan and by no means an OM fan, but this is an insult to the Rebels who achieved an 11 win season. I'll stand by now for the lettuce-heads will post that they had an easy season.
This is more like a contest between the Federal Government and Rudy Warnock.
I find it interesting so many declare to know the hearts of OM players! If God is with us, who can be against us!
I enjoyed watching Bama get their asses whipped last night. It’s amazing when the officials aren’t helping you how much harder it is to win a game.
Undergraduate degree from Mississippi State but happy for Ole Miss and state of Mississippi
I expect Ole Miss to play with a chip on its shoulder.
I expect players playing not to get hurt, and enter the portal ASAP.
And not really an academic place tbh if you look hard
6:09 he's right. I doubt there's a single person on the entire Ole Miss roster that could even get accepted to Tulane.
Ole Miss should play more players
Former Millsaps and Southern Miss OC Shannon Dawson is the OC at Miami.
Now we have the same 4 teams that played every year playing rematches.
2:22 has never heard of Tulane? You gotta get out of Smith County more often brah.
Rematches makes for boring football. Nobody wants to see Ole Miss play Tulane again and a probable rematch with Georgia and nobody wants to see Bama play OU again. This committee was horrible and could have completely avoided this situation by making Ole Miss the #5 and Miami the #9.
4:00, thanks for that insightful comment. I’m sure you’ll sleep well at night knowing your team won’t have any players like that suiting up for the Duke’s Mayonnaise Bowl.
