What is it about Little League baseball that brings out the worst in people?

The fight occurred at Rosemead Park Fields on Aug. 24 as dozens of children and families were watching the tournament.

There’s usually only one thing that can make otherwise sane men more stupid, than sports.
Turns out the ump wasn’t the b***h. One of my employees is a youth ump as a side gig. He gets like $40 a bottle of water and a cheeseburger per game for his efforts. Absolutely zero reason to ever give those guys any crap. They are doing a community service
I still have a video of a parent getting in a fight with an under 12 soccer referee and other parents in Brandon, years ago. He may still be in jail. I've got a temper but managed to never let it get to that level.

And the some of the chants "ump's gotta go," because I guess he was something like the police.
Late August out there watching little Johnny underachieve while dad is living the dream vicariously…tempers be HOT as the field temperature.
No parent from Rankin Country should be allowed to attend any games, any sport, if the children are under the age of 22.
Too much importance is attached for sports. It is just a kids game. Even when adults play, it is still just a kids game.
The poster that comes here continually denigrating the state population about weight, and behavior has some apologizing to do.
As a baseball umpire with over 55 years experience, you got to keep your cool on the field of play no matter what!!!! I have called everything for T-Ball to Division 1 baseball and NEVER had to raise my hand to a coach or player! I call only high school games only. Summer league baseball has "NO SECURITY" for summer umpires!!! The umpire in this case was totally wrong no matter what the coach did or did not do!
Small-minded adults are the ones starting this kind of stuff at little league games.
At least in this 'brawl' they actually threw punches that connected, and even got in a good kick or two; unlike watching the bitches in downtown and west Jackson who do nothing effective but pull hair and tear off clothes.
