MDOT is focused on unnecessarily cutting all the trees down on I220 instead of getting the lights to work in all the medians and, putting lights under the bridges over 55. Absolutely no reason for vagrants to be walking on the interstates, frontage roads, or hanging out under bridges. They pose a death risk to themselves and everyone driving. And they leave the place TRASHED.
I run on a track before sunup. I'm always surprised by the number of people wearing black clothes walking down the road in the dark.
Is it a death wish?
The problem is eveytime the wire is replaced they get ripped out again.
There is more to this story.
When I was in Afghanistan, we had to wear a Reflective Belt if we were out in the dark, even if we were driving. Why wouldn't making this a requirement now work here?
Hell, about a year ago, I was taking my wife to St. D at 7:30 in the morning and some fentanyl-addled fuckwit was crossing I-55 ON THE BRIDGE, playing Frogger in real life
How observant you must be to see what can't be seen.
The residentially challenged individuals in that area, not only will wear dark clothes in the dark, they unnecessarily cross I-55 at all hours of the day and night, including rush hours. Despite the fact that they can go a couple hundred yards north or south and safely cross the bridge or underpass, they cross a damn intestate. I have seen a guy crossing 55 in rush hour, with his freaking bicycle.
Isn’t it already against the law to cross the interstate?
