JPS Eighth-Worst public school district in State

Mississippi schools backslid in the school accountability ratings released this morning. More school districts graded "D" and "F" while fewer schools rated "A" or "B".
There are 11 fewer "A"s and "B"'s school districts in 2025 than in 2024 and 11 fewer than in 2023. There were 87 fewer schools rated "A"'s and 32 fewer "B"'s than in 2023.

Hmmn. The charter schools do not seem to be doing too well.
Madison Middle School scored the highest of all middle schools in the state for the second straight year in a row. Surprised Madison is not in the top ten!

Everybody keeps writing off Clinton. Clinton schools continue to outscore Madison and Rankin.
